Adventures with the Elonex Onet+ dosbox

 

dosbox emulates an old dos based machine, so you can run dos based games and programs.

The speed on the elonex is limited. Sound production is not great. This is not a page about dosbox, just how to install it onto the onet+

The following files are needed, originally downloaded from the debiam mipsel package repository (the etchy stable set)

Extract the libraries from these files, to /lib, along with the shortcuts

Here is a package, already made up. Note, for the sake of size, I have removed the licenses, and man pages. For full licenses and man pages, refer to the original packages.

dosbox will run with a set of defaults with no dosbox.conf, but by way of an explanation, here is the example dosbox.conf
