Annual Pack Planning Meeting (APPM)

Our APPM will take place on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 6:00pm.  Check your email for more details! Once that meeting takes place, we will update our calendar and web page with exciting events for fall 2018 and spring/summer 2019.  - Cubmaster Mike 

First Pack Meeting of the fall on Monday, September 11th

Our first Pack meeting will take place on Monday, September 11th.

Who: Boys going into Kindergarten – 5th grade or current Scouts

Location: Church Hall, Elkton United Methodist Church, Main Street Elkton

- Enter through the parking lot from High Street

- Pack meetings are once a month and are 1.5 hours long (6:30 – 8:00pm)

- Den meetings are weekly and one hour long (6:30 – 7:30pm)

Pinewood Derby Clinics are here!!!

Monday January 2, 2017 - Pinewood Derby Car Clinic Part I @ Weldon Hall
​6:00 - 7:30 
  • Please have your Scout(s) bring their Pinewood Derby car kit with them, preferably with their design penciled on it ready to be cut and sanded.  
  • 6:30 pm, Jesse and Chuck will review the race rules and answer questions, have sample cars to showcase, illustrate how a car is weighed, how weight can be added to and taken off and the importance of the wheels. We will have saws, sandpaper, etc. 

Monday January 9, 2017 - Derby Clinic Part II & Den Meeting @ Weldon Hall
6:00-7:30
  • We will have paint and brushes available for families to use beginning at 6:00pm.  
  • Den meetings will run from 7:00 - 7:30 pm

Winter Cabin Camping Friday February 3rd 6:00pm - Sunday February 5th ~11am Horseshoe Scout Reservation - Camp John H. Ware

Macaleer Lodge:  Macaleer Lodge is a large two story building with top of the line accommodations.  It is centrally heated and each floor has a full  kitchen, residential style stove, hot water, indoor bathroom facilities and shower. Spacious bunk room with two separate rooms for adults and a generous dining/program area. No fireplace or wood stove, but a campfire area is available Total Capacity - 60 (30 per floor).

  • Reservations will be first come first serve - we have 60 slots open
  • Lion and Tiger scouts must have an adult present, other scouts may have 1 adult per scout but not required (will open up to additional family members if slots are available after 1/23/17) 
  • The attached form must be completed and returned for each scout and adult attending:  http://www.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/19-673.pdf
  • Cost $20/attendee due when the form is returned and medical forms must be current for all attendees.
  • If fee and forms are not up to date your slot may be given to another requester
  • Forms must be returned by 1/23/2017 - we will open up to additional family members after this date and these will be due by 1/30/2017

Northeast Christmas Parade

Saturday December 3, 2016- Northeast Xmas Parade
  • Meet at the Northeast Library @ 10:15 (NO ONE can come past 11 per the parade council instructions); parade begins at noon.
  • Lions and Tigers must have a parent walk with them.  All other parents are encouraged to drop off and pick up at the end of the parade route unless you are a leader in which case you should be in class A and marching :)
  • Class A required - cubs may wear a Santa hat 
Tip:  The parade ends down near the park, so if you drop off you can park down by the park and walk back to watch the parade and pick up your cubs at the end.

2017 Pack Dues

 Final date to turn in 2017 dues; $60 with boys life; $48 without - exact cash or checks payable to pack 443
Any family not turning in dues will be required to complete a new scout application. If you will not be at the Den Meeting please email pack443treasurer@gmail.com to make alternate arrangements.
