My Message:

My ancestry traces back to the distant wee Shetland Isles of Scotland but I grew up in the Golden State of California ever since I was a peerie 3 month old pup. I enjoy early morning walks, evening walks, walking along the beach, walking anywhere and anytime with my best friend really.

At the end of October 2007, I accompanied my owner down the Rio Grande Valley area, where her father did business. On the 22nd of December, he told her to go back to California. His coworker was supposed to look after me over the winter break. Apparently, the coworker did not do a very good job of watching me because when my owner came back on New Year's Eve, she was informed that I was gone and will never ever be seen again. All that was returned were my dog tags. Why they removed my dog tags when I was away from home in a strange location, I do not know.

On the 30th of December, they had actually rented a boat and found the body of a dog in the resaca. They thought it might be me and promised to do some DNA tests with fur samples they collected from my poor deceased cousin to confirm the identity. Unfortunately this was never done. Maybe it wasn't a dog they saw in the waters. Maybe it was the Loch Ness monster.

The local Brownsville Police Department has a missing report of me in their files, but I am only viewed as lost property in the eyes of the law.

Can you help solve the mystery of my whereabouts?
