Elenita Natalio Que is a faculty of educational technology, a researcher and teacher trainer. She is currently the coordinator of educational
technology area of the University of the Philippines-College of Education
where she spearheads the implementation of the program, teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, and serves as adviser to research students. She is involved in various researches related to use of technology in education, curriculum studies, special education, online professional teacher development and comparative education. She provides training on technology integration to teachers in both public and private institutions.
She advocates the use of digital technologies in teaching yet firmly believes that concepts can also be taught as effectively using the conventional media, to include the indigenous resources.
Her current research is on educational system and ICT in education which she undertakes in collaboration with Kyoto University of Education. The project aims to compare teacher education curriculum among teacher education institutions in Asian universities and develop a curriculum development model on ICT for teacher education institutions in the Philippines. She is also currently involved in prototyping an instructional plan model for large class instruction, specifically on the use of social media in teaching disaster mitigation, adaptation and preparedness strategies.
Her philosophy in life is guided by her love of the mountains. Climbing the mountains gives her a certain high that inspires her to achieve higher heights in both her personal and professional life. With the summit in mind, the pebbles that she encountered along the way are only small distractions, and the bigger stones are there to be stepped on while she holds on the roots and the vines to give her that steady climb.
