Course overview
The aim of this course is to provide educators with hands-on experience with a range of technologies. During the course we will explore and learn how to handle web-based, freeware technologies that can be used by educators to design educational activities appropriate for their students, educational software designed specifically for educators, and educational software designed for use by learners. During the course we will reflect on the current debate on the use of technology in the classroom but we will primarily focus on developing a deep understanding on the merits and limitations of existing technologies. By the end of the course, participants will have acquired a fair amount of skill in using technology and will be asked to provide a technology supported solution to a learning area of their choice.
