Columbia University Electrical Engineering Design Challenge

We are pleased to announce the first annual Electrical Engineering Design Challenge. In this year's challenge you will combine old and new technology and explore a classic communication platform - the tin can telephone. Teams will design and build a transmitter and receiver that can efficiently send messages over a string.  At the end of the challenge teams will compete in the "Tin Can Triathlon", three events that will determine which system is the most low-power, high-throughput, and long-range.

Complete specifications will be announced at a competition kickoff meeting now planned for Friday, Sept. 24 at 4pm at 1300 Mudd.
