In an email they sent out to their base, they state that they endorsed my opponent, which I fully expected, as he is an incumbent.
However, by going on to say that the House race, all the candidates support marriage equality and therefore they didn't endorse-- they imply that I do not support marriage equality-- because I'm the only opposition in the race, and I too support marriage equality!
This is clearly partisanship at play here. Based on their track record of endorsing Democrats over Greens, I fully expected them to endorse my opponent, and was fine with that.
But the fact that they chose to go beyond that and imply that I oppose marriage equality when I not only do I support it, I volunteered countless hours canvassing and phone banking for them for the No On One campaign in 2009!
This is just too much to take sitting down.
I urge you to take this to the court of public opinion
and write a letter to the editor about why you support my campaign, and how disappointed you are that EQME chose partisan skullduggery over supporting candidates who support their issues.
