Rolling Mill

The rolling mill is a pretty simple design.
It is reversible and controlled with two electric foot pedal switches. I recently upgraded to a 2HP gear reducer (60:1) and 2HP reversing motor (1725 rpm). It runs at 29 rpm.
The top crank is an 5/8" threaded bolt (and swivel) with a high strength nut recessed and welded in the top plate.
The 3” wide rollers are made out if 1/2" wall tubing purchased from The shafts and coupler, threaded bolt and swivel, and crank were purchased from  Got the pillow blocks, gear reducer, and reversible motor on E-Bay.

I recently added a twisting jig to the other side of the pass-thru shaft.
