EIPS Scratch Day

Our Scratch Day is scheduled for March 13th, 2013 and will take place at Salisbury Composite High School. The event is for students in grades 5 - 12.

Registration has now closed, but this event will be live streamed.

If possible, please bring your own device with Scratch installedWe will have power bars for charging throughout the day.

Activities include challenges and sharing sessions for novice and experienced Scratch users.

The keynote speaker for the day is Dr. Karen Brennan, a member of the Scratch Team and Assistant Professor at Harvard University. She studies the ways in which learning communities support computational creators -- and how technologies and environments can be designed for these learning communities. More concretely, her work focuses on the Scratch website and Scratch educator community. She studies how participation in the Scratch online community and how professional development for educators can support young people as creators of computational media.
