Piano Accompanists


A list of accompanists is provided below. Having piano accompaniment is a very important part of performing many solos. The piano provides a foundation of harmony and rhythm that adds musical context to the melody you play on your instrument. An accompanist helps the performer establish a better sense of style, momentum, tone color, and dynamic contrast. Moreover, the composer often writes melodic interplay between the two instruments to add interest and expression to the piece. Students and families are strongly encouraged to work with a piano accompanist.
