Humous - Quickly Made

Very Simple and easy for new cooks
1 tall can Chick Peas
1/8 Cup Organic Canola Oil
1/8 Cup Olive Oil
1/4 Cup Tahini
Large Pinch of Salt
Juice of 1 Lemon (about 1/4 cup)
Optional:  I like to add a little grated zest too!
2 cloves Garlic - finely grated

NOTE:     Tahini is ground sesame seed.
The oil in it was released when the seeds were ground.

Open and drain Chick Peas and put in a large mixing bowl (reserve a couple of spoonfuls of liquid for later).
Add all of the ingredients to the bowl of chick peas - the oils, tahini and salt, lemon juice, zest and grated garlic.  Hold back on the reserved liquid.
Using a wand liquidiser - blitz everything - stir now and then and blitz again.

Add a little of the reserved liquid to adjust the texture to your liking.
Taste to see if it needs more salt, lemon or garlic.
Spoon into small bowls and cover with cling film.  Put some in the freezer for later.

Very quick to make, and extremely healthy if you use good quality oil.
You know when you have the flavour and texture right - it is difficult to stop yourself from tasting it again ... again...   Enjoy!

NOTE:    This recipe has been well tested and turns out good every time.  Serve on DS Gluten Free Herb Crackers ... bliss!
