2. Leadership opportunities

During my time studying my Masters in New York (2009-2011), I was fortunate to be afforded so many opportunities to improve my leadership skills. I have divided these opportunities by the organizations that offered them to me:

- My Fulbright scholarship, without which I would never have had the opportunity to experience the United States of America.

-International House, New York, my residence for my time in New York city. Here I was afforded the opportunity to meet students from around the world and interact and share information and ideas on an international platform.

-Teachers College, Columbia University: Through my Fulbright scholarship I was able to study my Masters at this prestigious, Ivy League Academic Institution.

-UNESCO: Through UNESCO I received an internship opportunity to work alongside a mentor and supervisor in the fields
of Social Sciences, Migration, and Human Rights, with a Focal Point for Africa.
