A species database (Alphabetically family wise- Seed plants etc.) is being maintained on this website family wise, genus wise & then species wise. Intent of this database is compilation of all the posts on 'efloraofindia' e- group along with providing other details so that it’s useful to all concerned as all the data about a particular species will be available under a single page & easily searchable. New threads are added at the bottom of the page before references. This is being compiled by Sh. J.M.Garg. Attempts are also being made to update genera pages so as to incorporate most of the species available in India & nearby areas with details & keys directly or through links as far as possible. In this, a lot of assistance is being provided by Dr. R.S. Rawat. We expect to complete it by Dec.'2014 for most of the genera having more than four species. A lot of efforts are being made by Dr. Pankaj Sahani for updating Orchidaceae (most of the threads on Orchidaceae have been identified/ validated by him) & Dr. Manoj Chandran for updating Poaceae (most of the threads on Poaceae have been identified/ validated by him) while Dr. Gurcharan Singh is adding up lot of Keys etc. along with conducting/ updating Monthly family weeks etc. Species database page contains botanical names with publication details & their synonyms mostly from 'The Plant List'/ GRIN/ eFloras (Flora of Pakistan/ Nepal/ China)/ e-books from India/ other refrences etc., common names in different languages (thanks mainly to Sh. Dinesh Valke & his flickr posts, Sh. Tabish Qureshi's Flowersofindia site, Dr. Gurcharan Singh, Dr. Vijayasankar Raman among others), flowering data/ place of pictures, important links, efloraofindia e-group discussion links (which contain full discussions verbatim along with pictures from foremost Flora photographers & experts like Dr. Pankaj Sahani (Expert on Orchidaceae), Sh. Dinesh Valke (Documenting India Flora on Flickr),  Dr. Gurcharan Singh (Expert on Western Himalayas), Dr. Vijayasankar Raman (Expert on South India), Sh. More than nine thousand five hundred species' pages of seed plants, ferns, fungi & others are available with details for those species which have already been discussed in efloraindia e-group. Any species can be easily searched by adding in the 'Search this site' at top. Lot of species' pages have (?) after them indicating that in the efloraofindia (indiantreepix) links/ discussions, species need to be further looked into as it may or may not be the stated species due to lack of proper feedback in the threads. Correctness of data/ identification in the efloraofindia (indiantreepix) links/ discussions is dependent on the members' inputs & sometimes outside experts' inputs in that particular link. Therefore, errors/ mistakes cannot be ruled out- everyone is requested to point them out for corrections by sending a mail to our Moderators at itpmods@googlegroups.com by non-members or to indiantreepix@googlegroups.com by its members. Efloraofindia e-group members can also add comments about it after 'signing in' at the bottom of the page. Anyone who wants to add any contents to the website (except the pictures), may mail to itpmods@googlegroups.com for getting authorisation to do so.

For better viewing of species' pages, colour scheme & formatting is being followed as below:

Description of the species, Details of other flora species on the same page, Details of other than flora species on the same page, Uses/harms, Distribution, Abundance/Location/flowering time/date, Habit & Habitat, Etymology & pronunciation, Other Interesting Information, stories etc., Others, Botanical names, Common names, Main point of discussion below, Discussion about botanical names.
