Welcome! We hope you are getting settled back into the routine now that the school year has begun. Over the summer, our building underwent a major renovation and with this major renovation, came a new name--The Edina Early Learning Center. Please be patient with us as as a PTO as we continue to update our website, social media accounts and logos with our new name. We hope you enjoy your time at the Edina Early Learning Center.

As a PTO, our mission is "To assist the Edina Early Learning Center Coordinator in planning, implementing, and evaluating the ELC policies, procedures, programs and budgets. We exist to strengthen the Edina ELC through community building events, such as the Fall Harvest Party, Dads N Donuts, and the Spring Party, among others. Mabel's Labels, Amazon Smile, Give to the Max, The Barnes and Noble Book Fair and our biennial Gala are the ways in which the PTO helps raise funds to support the staff and kids of the Edina ELC. Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month from 12:30-2:30 pm at the Edina ELC and CHILDCARE IS PROVIDED! Meetings are open to anyone, so stop by and get to know us if you'd like to know more.

We're all over social media! Follow us on Twitter @EdinaELCpto, Instagram @edinaelcpto and Facebook @EdinaEarlyLearningCenterPTO. We also communicate to families via our monthly newsletter and send occasional emails regarding upcoming events we host. Don't hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns via email (edinaecfepto@gmail.com). Thank you and have a great school year!

Make an impact on Edina Family Center in 2017-18 as a Literacy Tutor with Minnesota Reading Corps!

With extensive training, support from onsite coaches, and evidence-based strategies, Reading Corps tutors are well-equipped to change lives.  Additionally, Reading Corps tutors may earn a living allowance, education award, and federal student loan forbearance for their service.

Join the PTO!

posted Feb 22, 2017, 6:34 PM by Edina ECFE PTO   [ updated Feb 22, 2017, 6:41 PM ]

The Edina Family Center PTO is looking for new members to join our team! We will be doing classroom visits from March 6-March 10 to recruit new members.

Want to know more about who we are and what we do?

We are a non-profit group of volunteers who work to support the Edina Family Center and its community. Next year, our focus will be on helping families acclimate to the new building structure following this summer's extensive renovations. Members next year will decide how PTO funds can best be used to support a playground structure, classroom materials, enrichment programs and equity training for teachers and staff. We also plan annual PTO-sponsored events, such as Dads & Donuts, the Fall Harvest Party, and the Spring Festival. In addition to our events, we organize several fundraisers, like the Barnes and Noble Book Fair and Give to the Max Day. Last but not least, the PTO has socials throughout the year to get better acquainted and have some FUN!

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month from 12:30-2:30 pm, September through May. In addition, there are separate committee meetings that are scheduled around your schedule (typically evenings or weekends), but childcare isn't provided for these instances. We will also be looking for several members to join our Exec Team, which meets an additional day during the month on Wednesday afternoons. Childcare is provided for both the general meeting and the executive committee meetings.

We ask that you commit to at least 2 years and up to 5 years on the EFC PTO. :)

If you are interested in joining this wonderful group of volunteers, please submit an application by Friday, March 17. There will be a meet and greet with applicants scheduled the week of March 20 - 24 with members of the PTO's executive committee.

We will be handing out applications during the classroom visits, but please feel free to print this one attached below and email it to us at edinaecfepto@gmail.com.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Please help us donate to VEAP!
