  • Dr. Edward T.-H. Chu is an associated professor in the Department Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Taiwan. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2010 from the Department of Computer Science at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. Before pursuing his doctoral degree, he has more than 4 years’ work-experience in the industry, where he worked on embedded software. He joined the Department Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, as an assistant professor in 2010 and promoted to an associated professor in 2015. His research interests include embedded system and information and communication technology for disaster management. He was awarded with the Outstanding Paper Award in 2016 International Computer Symposium (ICS) and Best Paper Award in 2015 International Conference on Dependability (DEPEND).
His major academic services include, program co-chair of 2017 Workshop for Disaster Resilience through Big Open Data and Smart Things (DRBoaST) and 2012 Workshop on Resilient ICT for Management of Mega Disasters, electrical media chair of 2012 and 2013 ACM Embedded Systems Week, member of program committees of 2016 IEEE 1st Int.
