I have been an educator since 1994, teaching subjects such as U.S. History, Civics, World Studies, and Psychology at the middle and high school levels. I am a graduate of Marian College (University) with a bachelor’s degree in Broad Field Social Studies (history, secondary education, and psychology) and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. As the Instructional Coach of Fond du Lac School District, our #1 goal last year was to train the 6-12 staff members on how to utilize the educational power of the Google Apps suite, as well as pave the way for Fond du Lac high school's 2400 Chromebook rollout this fall. I absolutely love learning about new technologies and resources that can be utilized in classrooms and working with staff and students on making classroom instruction meaningful and enjoyable! I have partnered closely with the Google Edu Team over the past year to fully leverage the power of Google Apps for Edu in Fond du Lac’s own classrooms, as well as being a leading advocate nationally, assisting other schools and districts understand the importance of training staff members and how to successfully implement a 1:1 initiative.

Renee is part of a four person Technology Integration Specialist Team for the Fond du Lac School District.  Previously she was a middle school science teacher for 20 years in the district.  As a Technology Integration Specialist she still works with students, however, her main role is to help teachers and administrators become familiar with educational technology and help them incorporate technology into their lessons.  Renee has a passion for using technology in the classroom and discovering new ways for students to consume, create, collaborate and think critically using technology. In the fall of 2012 her team was responsible for rolling out one the largest high school 1:1 initiatives with 2200 Chromebooks.   Renee has her Masters Degree in Educational Technology and is a Google Apps for Education Certified Trainer.
