研究
言語は、哲学、心理学、情報科学、脳科学といった様々な分野の研究対象になっています。言語のみではなく、人間の認知メカニズムを明確にしようというのがそれらの研究の目的です。例えば、この文章を読んでいるとき、画面上で｢くねくね｣した記号のようなものしかありません。その記号が、どのように文字、単語、文、そして抽象概念に置き換わっていくのでしょうか？！
天気予報を行う際には過去の天気を理解して、今後を予測します。人間についての研究（言語、文化等）も同様に、今までの現象を理解するだけでなく、そこから新しいことを予測するのを目指します。そのために、人間の反応時間、表現の出現頻度等を実験によって数値化し、人間の認知モデルを構築するのが私の専門です。
