State and Local Conservation

Lakes Region Conservation Trust -- The Lakes Region Conservation Trust was founded to protect wildlife habitat, to provide for public access to conservation lands, and to preserve freshwater and wilderness resources.

Green Mountain Conservation Group -- Since 1997, the Green Mountain Conservation Group, a non-profit charitable organization, has dedicated its efforts to natural resource conservation in the Ossipee Watershed.

Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests -- Founded in 1901 to protect the state's most important landscapes and to promote wise use of its renewable natural resources.

Audubon Society of New Hampshire -- A nonprofit statewide membership organization dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and habitat throughout the state. Independent of the National Audubon Society.

Keeping Track, Inc. -- Keeping Track's mission is to inspire community participation in the long-term stewardship of wildlife habitat through observation, interpretation, recording and monitoring evidence of wildlife habitat.

Center for Woodlands Education -- Publishers of Northern Woodlands magazine, their mission is "To shape the future of the forests of the Northeast through information and education about their value, use, and conservation.

The Nature Conservancy -- TNC's mission is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.
