The Life and Times of Edmund O'Toole VC

This website was created in 2010 by the Edmund O'Toole Research Group to correct any erroneous information that have been widely circulated. I started my research in to Sergeant Edmund O'Toole in 1990 after noticing the lack of information about him in previous published literature. And no complete work of literature about his life.

Please contact us at the email address, shown below. Should you wish to use or gain further information from this website. We are willing to check any written work prior to publication to ensure accuracy.

The following details have come to light during my research in sources such as repositories, books, newspapers, church records, army records and online information.

This is believed to be the first time Edmund O'Toole's life has been researched in as much detail as possible.

This website is in memory and honour of Sergeant Edmund O'Toole V.C. later Captain. RIP.

'The bringing together of information from old and new sources will hopefully shed light on his story'
