Kueh Talam Berlauk

Materials 
 
  • 1 cup flour 
  • 3 tbsp corn flour 
  • 3 cups coconut milk 
  • 1 tsp salt 
  • 1 egg 
  • 200 gm minced meat 
  • 2 whole potatoes [cut into small cubes] 
  • 1 large onion [diced finely] 
  • 1 package chicken curry 
  • 2 red chillies [chopped] 
  • grated carrot 
  • Coriander and green onions [diced finely] 
  • 1 tbsp oil 
  • salt 
Method:
(Base)
 
  1. Stir all ingredients and strain. 
  2. Lightly oil the pan. 
  3. Heat a steamer. 
  4. Pour batter into pan and Steam for 30 minutes. 
  5. Cool add the cooked filling and garnish with coriander leaves & roots and green onions. 
  6. Cut and serve. 
(Filling)
 
  1. Heat the oil and then sauté onions. 
  2. Add the curry powder and cook until fragrant. 
  3. Follow with the meat and potatoes. Stir well. 
  4. Cook until soft. 
  5. Cool and sprinkle over the cooked steamed base or over a thick roti base similar to a thick pizza base.
