Welcome to Edible Public Space project!

The 14th April 2011 the Leeds City Council has granted us access to Buslingthorpe Walk, in Chapeltown, for making our edible public garden!
Where is Buslingthorpe Walk edible public garden: at the crossroad between Reginald Row, Button Hill and Mexborough Grove, in Chapeltown (LS7)

The 14th May 2011 we designed the site and set up the first three raised beds (check the pictures here).

The garden is now up and running. Come along and join the group! We meet every last sunday of the month, in the afternoon (usually 2pm to 4pm, join our mailing list for exact times). Things we usually do:
- Weeding and beds maintenance
- Plant seeds and seedlings
- Harvest produce and share it
- Swap seeds
- Enjoy talking with whoever comes along
- Garden with children

Occasionally we brings food and do some painting or wood work.
Next Gardening day at Buslingthorpe Walk

Sunday 29th April 2012, from 2.00 pm

We have won a huge box of seeds, so this sunday we will plant seeds in the beds and in pots (to take away and bring back when suitable to go outside).

There will also be sprouting broccoli to harvetsm herbs to pick and seedlings to plant.

See you there.
