Registering at Folsom Lake College - Spring Sem 2012

posted Oct 24, 2011, 10:53 AM by Michael Harris

As we gear up for Spring registration, we are sending important information for you to share with students about the Spring 2012 class schedule, registration procedures and advanced education.  Our Spring 2012 class schedule is expected to be posted online on October 24th, visit this link <http://www.losrios.edu/class-schedules.php>  to access the schedule.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURES FOR SPRING 2012

Mid-Term Graduates:

  1. Apply <http://www.losrios.edu/lrc/lrc_app.php>  – For students graduating mid-term who are interested in attending the Spring 2012 semester, they may fill out the online application now. The application process will return a student ID number; which students will need to access all FLC services (counseling, assessment, orientation, etc.).   Incoming students must select “NEW” as their enrollment status, and indicate they have a high school diploma (noting their future graduation date).  If they mark in their application that they have not graduated from high school there will be a hold placed on their record and their course registration options will be limited.  (The application is asking the student’s status as of the first day of instruction at FLC.)
  2. Orientation <http://www.flc.losrios.edu/Student_Services/Student_Success/Orientation.htm>  – Orientation is held online, please access the orientation link to find out more information.
  3. Assessment <http://www.flc.losrios.edu/Student_Services/Student_Success/Assessment.htm> – Check out the online calendar for dates and details (also note there are 4 different levels of Math to choose from, and there are practice tests online.  Note: the better students do on the assessment test the fewer classes they will be required to take in English and Math to transfer.

Counseling <http://www.flc.losrios.edu/Student_Services/Counseling.htm>  –  Call to make an appointment. Students will bring their assessment results, AP test scores, college transcripts (if applicable) and questions to the counseling appointment.

  1. Registration <https://ps.losrios.edu/psp/direct/STSELFSERV/?cmd=login&languageCd=ENG&>  – Registration for Spring 2012 for newly matriculated students will happen in December; students will be assigned a date and time when they may begin registering.

Please note:  Once students have an FLC Student ID number they can set up an account in eServices—the student online portal for accessing FLC transcripts, grades, course registration, returning student application information and to locate student ID number, and assigned registration date and time.
