The Challenge

The way modern humans go about living their lives is polluting Mother Earth. Global pollution. Global warming. Climate change. Have we as the human race gone over the edge and out of control.

Mother Earth knows what to do, and she is doing what she needs to do to remain in balance. It’s we human beings who don’t know what we’re doing.

There was a time when our ancestors lived their lives on Mother Earth in purity and simplicity, in the midst of all creation, sharing in the joy of life with the animals, the rocks and the trees under the blue sky, the sun, the moon and the stars.

We have been brainwashed into believing the modern way in which we live is normal.  It is not normal.  It is out of balance with nature.  It is wrong, and many of us know and feel there is something wrong.

How did we get to this place of increased pollution in our atmosphere, waste in our rivers, toxins in our soil, superstorms and rising ocean levels? Did we assume Mother Earth somehow could indefinitely assimilate all the pollutants and toxins modern humans have put into her system

Did we fail, for generations, to comprehend what we have been doing to ourselves? What brought us here, and how can we turn this around to once again see and feel  the beauty on our planet? What will it take for governments and corporations and people to stop polluting the air, stop polluting the water, stop polluting the land and start working together for the benefit of all living things on Mother Earth?

What do Native people have to say about these questions? What do environmental engineers and other experts on the environment have to say about these questions? Can Native spirituality be integrated with good, environmental science to forge the leading edge to solve these problems?

These are some of the questions we will seek answers to at the 2nd Annual EcoSpirit Environmental Conference on August 29 and 30, 2015 at the Sheraton at the Falls, Niagara Falls, New York.

Participants And Presenters

We are inviting Native Leaders and Elders from Native Tribal Nations all across the United States to attend the EcoSpirit Native American Environmental Conference

The speakers at the 2nd Annual EcoSpirit Environmental Conference will include environmental engineers, authors and activists who are experts on the environment. Some of the Native American Chiefs, Tribal Leaders and Elders who attend also will be speak as individuals or on panels.

The Native American speakers will speak about what is going on with Mother Earth in the spiritual way of the heart, the way American Indians perceive it and feel it.

Attending and performing at the conference there also will be Native American drummers and singers singing their traditional, sacred songs to bring in the spirit energy that will make this conference a sacred event.

The Vision

The time has come for us to clean up the environment and again be good Caretakers of Mother Earth.

We call on all peoples of all nations to come together to work in unity.

The conference organizers are gathering environmental engineers, environmental authors and activists, Native American Tribal Leaders, Elders, and others to speak, to listen and to share in order to help find ways to make our Earth a beautiful place again. That is why the conference organizers have worked so hard to make this conference a reality.

With the way Earth is being polluted and poisoned, how will we survive? How can we make life better for everybody? The conference will seek to answer these questions and more. We will look to find ways to make Earth pristine and beautiful again. To have clean air to breathe. To have pure water to drink. To have nutritious food to eat.

Traditional Native people understand and work with the power of prayer every day, and prayer can make beautiful changes happen. This conference will be conducted in a space of sacredness and as a scientific endeavor enlightened by the power of prayer. We pray to find the ways to cure Mother Earth of her ills. When the power of prayer enlightens the human intellect, the heart takes the lead and beautiful changes will result. We just need to do the work to make this happen.
