I joined the U.S. Health division of Abt Associates, Inc. in August, 2014.  I am excited to be a member of a team that conducts research investigating a variety of health policy issues dealing with current U.S health care reforms and health care financing.

Before Abt Associates, I finished a postdoctoral fellowship in pharmaceutical health services research at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, MD.  Specializing in applied econometrics and health economics, I have conducted multidisciplinary research in the areas of comparative effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, health outcomes related to chronic disease and maternal/fetal health, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacy services, health insurance, and labor outcomes. My work has been published in Value in Health, PharmacoEconomics, the American Journal of Public Health
Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health, and American Journal of Managed Care, among other peer-reviewed periodicals.

I received my Ph.D. in Economics in 2011 from Colorado State University. While there I was awarded "Outstanding Graduate Student for Research," as well as a Dissertation Fellowship from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to study how health status may influence the decision to transition to self-employment in the U.S.
