Ocean's Ocean = Ocean Articles

Now the day before the day before Christmas Day.
Christmas Eve was always a big deal as a child, but still I was always unsettled about how the less forunate children were - if they really got all they wanted from Santa and so o n.
No o ne could answer my questions then, and I was left with a need to find everything out.
I'm still finding everything out. Thinking is our way of exploring the world - putting facts together to create the truths we need to know.

I'm not a fan of the commercialism of any holiday that has been exploited to make others feel badly either.
all my life i've o nly seen it as little children pressing their faces to glass windows seeing things they won't get, and watching tv, yearning for things that they can't have.
the o nly way I can make it good is by avioding buying anything except doing charity  for the helpless.
I boycott it personally.
I am liberated from holidays.
I tell others to count me out, and I donate in the place of gifts.I do that for everyone o n my gift list.
I give cards with the info that I have donated in their names as gifts.
I hope I get the message out to them and stand for something - I want to be an example to especially the little kids, that giving is the point of the holidays
To inspire others to think of the helpless, to be compassionate to all beings, and to make it meaningful is the o nly way to salvage Christmas from the abusers who use it o nly for profitting o n the monied and in making the unmonied feel horrible
Remember the EcoChristmas Mermaid o n the home page of Ecoize -
she stands for our planet, Sea, and is reminding people to give back not to get, in this time of year so hard for all the other animals and for many, many people.
Give, and otherwise,
ignore the holidays - they will go away soon!
And that's good!
Meanwhile, go to EcoEzine o n the menu o n the left and see what you can do to make them count. Give to the less fortunate instead of spending o n yourself.
You don't need it. Most beings o n our planet do - urgently.
Adopt a Manatee or a Horse or another person for the holidays.
Yes, all other beings of other species are also people.
The Africans refer to elephants as the Elephant People.
And so they are.
All species are people. Remember that!
Correct anyone you hear improperly using the term "it", immediately!
Everyone is either "he" or "her", and if the gender is unsure, then always use "he".

Twas the Day after Christmas and all throught the house, all the creatures were stirring, yes, even the mouse! With thoughts of the stockings, all empty and spent, we wondered then how would we then make our rent?

Such is the sad scenario at most American houses after the corporate holiday extravaganza they've twisted Christmas into.
Oh, well.

I'm into being eco, being vegan, being compassionate, and saving the world, so, I was thinking about o neness..

Oneness

We are all o ne.

Does everyone understand the meaning of this phrase we so often see?

Despite the phrase, so often the big O in the o ne stands for zero, rather than for the planetary orb, which is what is represented by the one in we are all o ne.

We all are o ne in so many ways, starting with the fact that we're all o n this planet together, so whether we like to stand o n denial and draw our little circles in the sand, including o nly our own households in our circles of love, or whether we've been enlightened and understand that all of us - every animal being in the world - are the same, under God, and more - that we, as the o nly animals capable of saving all the others and therefore, we're responsible for doing so - the truth is this - We All Are o ne.

Include every individual of every specie in your own personal prayers today, and see how much more open your soul will feel.

It will feel natural, and effortless, to extend and to open your Love to include the entire sphere of o neness.

Do something kind for others today. Decide to be kind your very next meal. Eat a compassionate meal made o nly of plant foods, and decide to become Vegan, even if it's little by little.

With each meal, as you save lives while truly nurturing your own body which o nly hungers for healthy, compassionate foods  - for veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds, all organic, grains, and foods made from these fresh ingredients, - you will experience an awakening of the spirit.

The cruelty that had before divded you from nature, from your own source, from God, and from all the other Love, the fellow beings o n our planet, will fall away, and you'll feel how much happier, healthier, and authentically whole your life can be!

Open your soul to include every soul o n our planet, and thrive!

122806 now,
Know Thyself

Knowing Thyself is, I think, if truly followed all the way through the disparate selves within us, truly the way to Compassion, but what if others don't know how to meander through the selves to get to the heart of their souls?

How can we show them?
Most religions have been pummeled by millenia of people thwarting the messages of the original prophets and/or dieties, in order to sandwich their own appetites and to gain some sort of sanction for these vices, so most are exposed, these days, o nly to pitiful remnants of the beautiful and simple designs laid out by the Masters, long ago.

Deep inside ourselves, in that space where the sweet memories of childhood dwell, of that original self who was born loving every being as him or herself, if we tear the veils away from our eyes, and if we dare to find the best parts of ourselves intact there - the o ne who used to marvel at butterflies and lie down in the grass and commune with the tiny beings there - the one who used to love lying down with our doggies and cats, and who used to be excited every time he'd see cows and horses as he'd be driven by a country meadow - that is the authentic self, the person we need to find again!

Not at the end of a long and badly-spent life, as in "Citizen Kane", the film, where the mogul dies with o nly this o ne thought - of his happiness with his sled named "Rosebud", o n his lips. The rest of his life, though  lived in comfort and success, was as nought to him when his essential self was re-found.

We don't need to divorce our feelings, or discard the best parts of ourselves in order to achieve success! And definitely, happiness is not found in those things alone - but o nly in join accomplishment with that sweet self inside!

Now we know, despite the macho and macha teachings and examples arrayed in front of us, that to be aligned in ourselves - body, soul, mind, heart, spirit, integrity and all, - is the way to live and to succeed in happiness - lasting happiness.

In order to do that, we need to listen to that little kid who lives there still, deep inside, and whose feelings matter more than any of the outer selves understand - sometimes until it's too late.

Please that little o ne inside and you'll find heaven o n Earth. The Holy Grail is the Cup of Animal Kindness - the magical elixir to happiness, healthfulness, joy, creativity, longevity, and youthfulness.

The treasure IS buried under the tree, as in the elf and fairy stories - we're all born tree-hugging, and loving all other animals, believing in magic, and cavorting with nature. The tree of life still stands in our souls, waiting for us to come back and to "be as little children" in order to thrive.

Protect nature, become vegan, Compassionize, open your heart, and you will thrive along with our Planet!

We're o n the brink of the New Year, standing at the top of a precipice, about to either slide down the fast slope to oblivion or to wake up, to heed the call of our own Planet, Sea, who's begging us to save her!

As I think of my good-byes for the year, as I do every year o n this day and night, I mourn.
I mourn for the thousands of the Earth's species who will never be among our family again, for the beautiful and wondrous beings who'd always been among us, and who we've allowed to perish by our own egocentrism and our own all-devouring appetites and collective greed, even if by proxy - perhaps we'd sat back complacently while the bad people grabbed the resources for themselves against the cries of the good.
Regardless, our apatheic responses and our habitual denial and self-absorption are the causes.

I recommend a Global Awakening!
The o nly cure!

The Illusion of Separation

As mentioned above, the idea of separation from the whole of o neness is the concept we must find a way to heal.
Absolutely.
The illusion of separation:
When does it first occur?
Specialists inform us that it happens to each human infant at some point when he realizes the "punishing breast" that will refuse the be there 24/7 for him is misbehaving.
At first, the baby is completely in bliiss, knowing that he is a part of everything in the universe, content - if he is raised in the tribal, traditional way, that is - the way we see all the other great apes still rearing their young, as constantly held appendages.
Leave an infant ape alone, whether human or o ne of the other great apes' infants, and he will experience awful anguish.
At any rate, the infant at o ne time or another, depending upon his own circumstances, experiences the pain of separation first either as a fearful and hated experience or as the recalcitrant breast.
Then, he sees it as a "transitional object".
He often hits it as he begins to feed again, since it was tardy.
Later, the idea of this transitional object is trasferred to, say, his first teddy bear, which he alternately loves and punishes, as we can witness in looking at any child's dearest toy.
This, if not evolved by the environment and training of the individual, progresses into a lifelong war against all other objects, be they inantimate or live o nes.
The degrees of separation vary, of course, and of the reactions to circumstances.
Other factors like head bangs and nutrition, the behavior observed and absorbed around him, and so o n, influence him.

How to channel this back into a realization that we are all o ne?

In the face of constant commercial bombarding that reinforce this objectification of others, complete with entire nations' imploring us to view the outside world with xenophobic eyes, the opposite sex with a philosophy to dominate and to exploit, and the bare greed fed by incessant corporate mandates to buy, buy, buy, regardless of need or of the ethics of how the goods are obtained or supplied, let alone of the results of such ever-advancing destruction of our planetary resources and the intense suffering of billions of innocent beings and the starvation of ever more millions of human o nes, we see a portrait of the condition of the human race which has tied the entire world to its' own suicidalism.

That is the picture we have to work with.
To carve out of this scenario a means to convey and to popularize doing the very things that will save our planet is the quest.
First, to let everyone know that we are all o ne in this way - our fates, individually and collectively, are tied to the fate of the world as a whole - and, since the world dying will interfere with the indulging of the senses and the stokining of the appetites, then it should ring a bell, even through the hard heads full of denial.
Direct attentions to this o ne fact, and we can open the minds since this "inconvenient truth" interferes with the selfish concerns of the masses.
Attempts to suddenly spiritualize everyone might help with a certain area of the populace, but even the most cosmic nations, like India, for instance, are now falling victim to the corporate machinery, and they are no longer a shining example of compassion they used to be. Also, the millenia of religiosity that has sought to placate the static condition of poverty and the immobility of the castes has had an enormous apathetic effect o n thought in most of the Asian nations, and now, even in these pods, we note that in many cases, enlightenment is seen as a reason not to act, rather than as an energizing influence that can save the world.
But can they, nations already acquainted with the concept of o neness, be motivated to direct their energies toward world-saving? Do they have the luxury of time in order to even think about it?

Steps To Take

Young people in the West are quickening the pace toward the four things that will save our planet - Veganism, Being Child-Free and/or adopting, Ecoizing, and Internationalism.
Many have already decided to live healthily from an ethical point of view that the religions had dropped the ball o n.
As they had become o nly institutionalized ways of sanctioning everything they profess to stand against, and merely are instruments for cruelty, greed, war, and hatred, and do not even open their doors, despite their tax-exempt status, to the homeless any more, they lost most of their congregations to the Universal concepts I am outlining here.
They, the major religions, had lost their own souls.
There are major movements toward the actual spiritual and away from the old, outdated and impure, the    apologists for anything a government or a greedy individual wishes to do,
skipping over the essential parts of any religions - the Compassion preached by their founders.
Now, people want something that smacks of authentic spiritualism, that speaks to the soul.
Now, the lines are blurred between the old teachings, back into the original inspiration - to Compassion.
The world has gotten so entangled with the ownership of things that before were seen as sacred and belonging to everyone, including to other beings, like the land, like resources, like the trees and the air and the water - all of which are under attack and polluted by a small number of people who gain from the spoiling of the world while the majority of us want it to thrive.
We no longer share with the hungry or the needy and the grain that used to go to the famine-stricken people now is fed to cows, along with the grain and vegetable-growing arable land given over to cattle grazing that would fotherwise eed every human being o n Earth. In America, even the publicly owned land is leased out to private concerns.
There are so many menacing policies, that it will take a book or two to sort them all out, but there are many excellent o nes already o n the shelves, some of which I will cite o n my own blog, Ocean's Ocean, and also o n some of my pods here at Zaadz.

At the risk of sounding like a Cassandra or a Biblical prophet, "crying in the wilderness", and to get back to How?, I offer this - there already is a great movement forward, toward solutions.
Whether or not we have time for these ideas to sink into the populace or whether we, in our diverse ways, through the old myths we like to adhere to, from the Apocaylypse to Ragnarok, from Hellish retribution to the Kali Yuga, continue to think, oh, well, what's the use? And to make ourselves lazily ineffective, I think we all should make huge efforts toward saving the world.
We should use our own talents, our resources, our time and energy to popularize the four measures above that will save the Earth and all life o n it, while there's still a small margin of time.
Against the commercial concerns, against the native denial and torpor of our species, against the hopelessness we all feel, and against the apathy, the negativity and the hedonistic urge to party while the ship goes down with all hands o n deck, let's stimulate everyone into action!

Janus Rules!
Today, I'm looking back in sadness, having lost someone near and dear to me, and holding all the beings, along with the flowers, the leaves, the plants, the places, the species we've lost, to my soul, and wishing them well in the next world.
I truly hope there is o ne! And that they're all safe and blissfully happy there, with all they require.
And yet, with his other face, Janus looks forward!
I'm also looking forward to the Eco New Year, and blessing the future for all of the animals o n Earth, including us humans, and for all of the humans to open to Compassion!
That is my fervent prayer and the meaning of my own life, and the meaning and cause of my life's work and contributions!

Here's an article o n Enlightenment and Words

Great subject-
Words

Yes, philology, linguistics, ethymology and semantics, are very interesting, especially in respect to religiosity, but really as applied to everything in human communication, or lack of.

Words are both the barriers to truth and the roads to it.
Words can be used and abused depending upon the aim, can be weaponry or healing agents.

"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless."
~ Mother Theresa

My German pals have lamented the lack of easy communication o n many subjects with those who o nly speak English, and in studying many subjects, German is a mandatory tool. In History, for instance, if o ne wishes to aspire to really reading the the subject, rather than just scanning the automated translations - another barrier to the truth, and controlled by whom? See this article for more o n the subject          - and the well-known fact that the Inuits have thousands of words to describe what in our language is restrained and contained in o nly o ne, "snow", we see the power of words.
Words can make or break, can bring down empires, can stimulate whole nations to buy certain products, can twist politispeak into good assocations in the public mind, and can cause religions to be harnessed into the service of the opposite of what their founders had intended.

There are whole fields of study devoted to how o nes' given name affects the entire life of an individual! Would we have John Wayne if his given name had not been Marion Morrison?

Words most often distance ourselves from both concepts and objects, although they profess to clarify.
Observing and learning from other animal species is so valuable to the human specie, in that they communicate not o nly with language as do we, but also by more body language than even we use, at least in more tactile ways. The closeness of companionable beings of other species when allowed by us to congregate is beautiful to witness, and wonderful for us to participate in.
We're born with a vital need for touch, and then words, proprieties, habit, thought, and vision interfere with this most innate form of communication.

One of the primary, or perhaps the main focus, of any great religion is to pull the barriers back from the selves and to reveal the basic truths that many factors conceal.
Enlightenment - that word again - see the thread o n it o n this pod - is opening the window and letting the light into o ne's consciousness, essentially - revitalizing the individual, refreshing, and enabling him or her to be of service to the All - the o neness, which is the Truth.

"Loose lips sink ships", says it all.
Words have caused catastrophes, the fruits of betrayals, tragedies innumerable throughout human history.
Mis-translations and other applications have excused the most barbarous of behavior, and have led whole civilizations into ruin.
On the other hand, though, words have also saved nations, healed, and enabled detailed descriptions of things that have led to goodness in worthy uses of these spoken symbols of things and ideas.

To communicate has weird effects o n people, and their brains reflect differing patterns.
One things I've noticed by experience is this, that is also borne out by studies : reading diminishes capacity for memorizing.
The effect of reading is immense even in human history, but has changed the basis of communication. We may, in this age of visual and sonar communication obliterating rapidly the need for written words, stimulate other areas of the brain, and may revert to previous plateaus of understanding.
In places like the old caravan routes of Central Asia, it is common for people to speak at least eight or nine languages. I feel so inadequate when traveling in some areas!
And yet, my own instincts kick in, and I find that I can tell somehow what is being said by people as long as I have no connection whatsoever with the language being spoken.
If I do, then my mind attempts to pick out words, and the effect is different.
And, physical readings of body language and intonation also kicks in, but there is a sixth sense in operation too.
World travelers can affirm this phenomenon.

We also well understand the languages of other species besides our own. People want to believe we can't since they'd like to complete their separation from those whom they allow to be abused or whom they abuse, and since the ego of many who'd like to pretend we're not members of the Great Ape family in the Animal Kingdom can absolve themselves of guilt toward our brethren.

Words are powerful.
Meditation can strip them of this power, and show the way to Enlightenment, which is remembering our Relationship - our being Related - to every other animal specie o n our Planet.
This leads to Bliss.
Bliss leads to Action.
Action for Good lead to Fulfillment of our Destinies.

For this New Year, let's practice Compassion for real!
Love everyone!
Go Vegan!

The gray areas are the important o nes.
All or Nothingism thwarts understanding of anything.
Just verbal acrobatics aside, sharing even a fraction from the wealthy to the disenfranchised would be so easy.
Eating Vegan, Compassionate foods would easily feed everyone o n Earth.
Just doing that would not o nly save the world, but would Compassionize everyone too.

Just Words - More

But - look at different languages' dictionaries - not the simplistic o n-line garbage o nes - the real texts - you'll see myriads of definitions, other words, etc.
Language is quite complex.

Also, to channel every other religion and tradition into the demaning term, "New Age", is insulting to all other world cultures and ideas. That's why, when I wish to trivialize an idea, I use the word "pop".

What needs to be understood that words are never enough. Most fail at communicating real concepts. Sometimes it takes, for instance, many readings of a certain book, often in different stages of o ne's life, to absorb deeper meanings.

Experience deepens understanding, as does reading many different things, speaking with others, etc.

No, I don't think it's good that English is eclipsing other languages in the world. The richness of other languages, as opposed to our rather barbaric o ne which is so limited reminds me of how the Northern European cultures, including the islands and Scandinavia, partially due to their limited concepts leading to the famous intransigence and ignorance, and that, partially due to the piece-meal, mongrel language of the English tongue, has, and continues to speak repression, invasion, domination and egocentrism.

Yes, we all need to speak our minds - witness what we're doing now! It's a normal primate need, and watching any group of apes, whether human or others, will let you know how important language is to all of us.

To adore the English language is understandable except for late learners, who bemoan the inconsistencies in it. If you find the poets who are able to manage rhythm and grace out of it, yes, then it's adorable.

Subtleties of meanings are difficult for English speakers, though, unless implemented with other senses or plenty of vocabulary. It's a perfect medium for those who'd like to control and to advertise, since it is rather limited.

As far as religious quarrels and all-out warring are concerned, language is always a nice tool for those who wish to use it to dissect tiny points and to fan them into conflagrations, but the true background to all this is the same old xenophobia and greed and paranoiaathat fed the confinement of a certain deity to a certain tribe or group anyway.
We create Gods out of our own tribal images, identities, and too often, even if the originator had been Enlightened and universal in scope, that initial concept will have been whittled down to political size and used as weaponry by the time it has been popularized.

Diminishing ideas and herding them into usable bites always creates illusion.

Large concepts are difficult for humans to grasp, let alone to use.

Attempting to confine hugeness like the All or God is really the whole problem with mankind.

The o ne thing most wish to avoid is the elephant  in the room - Compassion.

We'd most often prefer to match words and find loopholes to allow us to participate with a perceived sanction against curtailing our appetites, and we drag our dieties down with  us.

To be Compassionate would solve all problems of the world, from the soul seeking to the feeding of all the starving children o n Earth, along with saving our resources and the lives of billions of innocent fellow beings.

Peace can o nly be achieved and maintained by Compassionate use and respect for our entire planet, all our fellow animal beings, and true love of All.

In the last sentence, I meant "use" of resources, definitely not of any beings. For beings, I meant respect of and caring for - to enact the protection for all life we humans were given the responsibiiity of by the very fact that we are the o nly animals capable of it.
We are meant to take care of the helpless, the defenseless, and the innocent beings in the world.
Until we assume our true role of Compassionate Caretakers of our Planet - God's Planet - and all beings o n it, peace will o nly be a word.

Peacefulness

Some say that the very word, "peace" contains it's own magic -it's own enlightenment and that it can enlarge the soul by just being exposed to it - the word itself!
I truly hope so!
And yet, don't you think that words like "peace", and "love", have so much baggage and promo attached that they are meaningless unless truly meditated upon with an open heart?
The trivialization of huge concepts, for instance, in America, the association with hippies and the phrases "peaceniks", and "peace creeps", and anti-war activities has rendered it useless to convey certain things to most of the populace, very unfortunately for the rest of the world.
They have tied it into wimpiness, into anti-machoness, and have neutered it to the main groups.
Also, the very idea of world harmony and alliance that had been so prevalant there and is still today in Europe and elsewhere has been pushed under by the war-mongering and the constant bombardment via the media o n TV - witness the almost constant showing of military-related films o n even the History channel.
The selling of the wars to the public is intense.
How can we make that meditation and the flowering of the concept of peace happen in the midst of this prejudice and pre-dispostion to ignore and defile it?
That's our purpose here, I believe.
In the words so many do understand, sadly, "Peace sells, but who's buying?"
I really want to answer to how to popularize this most vital of messages!
Do you have any answers o n this? Please contact me if you do!

On the Tediousness of Those Who Seek to Excuse Their Cruelty o n Spurrilous Grounds

Some seek the refuge of the willfully stupid in thinking of Vegans and of Compassion.
They attempt to hide amid the idea that, "Well, if plants feel, then...and what about dust mites and breathing?" and so o n.

All or nothingism is o ne of the chief excuses for cruelty that is, sad to say, revisited again and again even o n this site.
Naturally, if you do not see, for instance, that eating your Grandmother is worse than accidentally interfering with the life of a dust mite in your breathing, then you're being willfully obtuse.

People go through a lot to guard their own appetites and guilts, yes, and lumping everything into o ne big sentence like that is not o nly simplistic but it's even insulting to Jains, who do their best to avoid even the scenarios of which you mention.

Ethical Vegans, like myself, avoid hurting even plants, eating o nly fruit and plants that are obtained not by disrupting the life of the individual parent plant.

And yet, in order to save the lives of the o nes we absolutely know we can save, we know are completely like us in every way, like cows, pigs, sheep, goats, and other mammals, as well as birds and fish and especially, the cows' babies who are, if you use dairy products, sent to crates to be tortured as veal calves, I show people how to be Vegan and to prepare and eat all kinds of plants, including root vegetables, since they are Compassionate foods and harm no animal being.

We are part of the Animal Kingdom.
We KNOW how it feels to hurt and we know how it feels to all other animals.
To deny this is to deny your own soul and mind and heart.

We have one or two spurrilous studies suggesting that plants might have a very primitive response to stimuli. They have long since been disqualified.

And yet, even o n these slight and factless ideas, many, many ethical Vegans every day eat o nly the few foods that are actually offered by a plant 0- - a tree - to animals, and a few leaves that a plant will not miss.

Would you really rather cause pain and suffering to someone you know for sure feels the exact way you do?

If you want to be cruel - then do so. Make that choice.
You're very aware of what you're doing. So is your soul.

Just be honest about it and own it and let's think about why you choose to do so here, especially when we know that in order to eat flesh foods you are : causing millions of humans to starve due to causing arable land to be used for cattle and not for feeding people, as are countless tons of grain now fed to cattle, you are causing harm to your own body, and causing horrible suffering to billions of innocent fellow beings, plus engorging the corporate interests of the meat industry, who are allied to the oil barons, and to other damaging entities across the world, and you are separating your conscience from your spiritual self. Plus, we know that in order to thrive, we need plant foods,as our bodies were designed to ingest. Regardless, your soul knows it is as o ne with all other animals and what cruelty is. It responds to what you do whether you instruct it to ignore things or not.

I'm here reminded of the quote, "The wages of sin are death."
Meat-eating, which is always cruelty, cruelty to o ne's own body as well as to the environment and to the sweet beings who are harmed, carries it's own punishment.
The punishment to the soul is perhaps the most extreme.

I think it's the third! I've been busy with recording, so..

Authenticity and Truth

Most of the so-called enlightened people sum up the majority and their views very well, and in a way that almost stops the entire discussion in their haste to distance themselves from any truth that might disrupt their murderous assaults o n other animals by proxy.
I can't say Im not disappointed, though.
I truly thought that among the seekers of Enlightenment, at least some admission that it's just plain cruel to torture our fellow animal beings as they do in factory farming, to steal their lies not o nly unnecessarily but in the very worst ways and to kill them so inhumanely that most do not know how they suffer, I had thought that at least someone would admit that it is wrong to do so.

Is there anyone courageous and Compassionate enough to just admit that it is wrong to kill innocent people? I, as many, use the term too often reserved by speakers of English purely for human animals for, as do most other cultures of the world, all animals.
Exluding any who feel, love, emote, and are helpless is actually very cruel and not at all spiritual.

Not o nly does the meat industry account for most of the air and water pollution, but the practice, which is entirely unnecessary especially in the West, causes many millions of humans to starve.( I have written why above, and there are many links at my page and o n my site and at the others I have cited there explaining this.)

Therefore, even those who had reserved a higher place for humans than for all the other animals, know that by consuming flesh they are killing humans too, along with all the other innocent and helpless animals.

And causing the environment to suffer.

And causing their own bodies to suffer.

The soul at least I had hoped someone would speak up for them in, for instance, the cosmic magazines so prevalent o n the stands today- about how the hypocricy of being cruel and yet proclaiming Compassion and Enlightenment and speaking of the All and the o ne and yet not practicing it in their personal choices - well, I had hoped that someone would speak up about this rather than attempting, as do most, to find loopholes and to avoid the issue, which  is, in fact, the central issue of spirituality from any and all angles, unless it has been wrestled down and made to be distorted into an excuse for cruelty, that is.

I would really like to hear from someone o n this subject, and not o n the meaning of words for a change.

Would someone just admit to me that it is wrong to kill an entirely undefended, helpless, cornered, terrified and innocent life for no reason at all ? We know it is not necessary, we know it's unhealthy for us, and we know now that to kill and eat another is also killing humans and the planet.

I believe that when someone admits the cruelty, then perhaps they might alter their practices toward Compassion. That's what I hope for.

It's not yet popular - although it is fast becoming so with young people - and it may not sell as many ads to cruelty-based industries, but especially in a pod connected with a spiritual publication, is there any place for authenticity? For the truth?

Let's leave the hypocricy to the others, and at least Vegans do, and all the others, at least, be honest with yourselves!

And you magazines arrayed o n the shelves even at health food stores! Get Compassionate or at least present some articles o n truth and o n Compassion!

Now Almost Valentine's Day!

I have a Love List for the Universe!

Here it is!

I have several connections right now that will expedite things for me - (naturally, a billion dollars is in the mix too! with it i would create eco, compassionate enterprises like vegan fast-food chains and in frozen food sections and catering, eco compassionate vegan clothing lines, and create wilderness habitats for wildlife and trees, among many other enterprises, like the eco, green communities i'm planning, other ways to promote veganism, etc.)

February 22, 2007

Weighing in o n the nation's obsession with Anna Nicole Smith's legacy - who is her infant daughter, Dannilynn, I have much to say.
The travesty that is that ridiculous court hearing in Florida, along with the media feeding frenzy makes everything about this pushy, brassy, showbiz larger-than-life woman, Anna Nicole Smith, even more tragic.
To see the fallout of her drugged-out and stubborn insistence of living o nly for herself throughout is sad enough, but to see her decent, hard-working Mother having had to be dragged through, o nce again, the garbage that Anna Nicole had made of her life, the embarressment, the horror, is truly tragic.
From personal experience in my own family, I know what foreign governments are like and also what happens too often to buried bodies.
The Bahamas have o nly o ne itnerest here - to increase their tourism and to keep the money in their country, to establish deals with that hideous Howard K. Stern, and to allow the graft to continue.
I love the Bahamas, and this is not about their people, who are awesome, or their country, which is beautiful. This is about whatever powers that be there and the usual shuffling about celebrities and their bringing of money to these island nations, and about the slow, tedious way these and many other governments move o n issues that other nations care about.
Do you realize that pieces of her body will probably be o n sale soon o n EBay if she's allowed to be buried there? And of her son if his body is not moved?
If she is - as should happen legally - buried in Texas, then they'll need to post 24-hour security over her and her son's graves.
Expensive vaults that people are buried in are commonly dug up, sold, and reused while the body of the beloved is tossed back, we hope, into the hole in the ground and recovered.
Imagine what will happen to her body!
That's a huge consideration - proper safety and respect for the body of a famous person.
Next, the money issue.
That leech, Howard K. Stern, is a common bottom-feeding type found in showbiz - the entertainment attorney who attaches himself to up-and-coming stars-to-be in order to entangle them in little assumed contracts, to catch the money falling through the cracks, and to gain possession of the photos and stories of those who are, like Anna Nicole, bound to be newsworthy.
Unattractive in the extreme, he may have loved her, and obviously made himself invaluable to her in many ways, may have killed her, certainly urged the drugged-up woman to put herself so conveniently o n videotape saying she resented her Mother, in order to tie up the loose ends in his favor, having manouvered them into a third world country where laws went his way and then pimping her out to the Immigration Minister in order to play this horrible scenario out, which may have included killing both Daniel and Anna Nicole.
At the very least, the fact that Daniel's last words were directed to Howard K. Stern, and were, "Why am I feeling so tired?" proves that he'd taken the drugs given him by Howard K. Stern, the pimp, the leech, and the conniver of this nefarious scenario by which he hopes to gain control of the image, the baby, and the fortunes gained from exploiting both plus possibly the half a billion from the Marshall estate.
He's played Anna Nicole's addictions, businesses, and circumstances by feeding her intense narcissism and need to be right o n anything she wanted at any given time - a trait universally shared by food addicts who overeat, which is essentially greed to the nth degree - in order to exploit everything possible.
The judge is obviously playing his own game with the cameras and is repulsive in the extreme.
Any sane head knows the baby is in a life-threatening position, with a known druggie, and a non-relative, in a foreign country.
Anyone knows this baby belongs with her family, with her Grandma, the lovely and long-suffering Virgie Arthur.
This judge should be reprimanded as is, but if he makes any judgement against the real family, he should be thrown out of the judicial system.
One more thing - any person who is judgement-impaired, meaning o n drugs, meaning Anna Nicole Smith, who was clearly a hideous parent who used her children as weapons against people, played everyone to gain attention for herself, and used that infant to hurt Larry Birkhead who wanted her to become sober, since he could not be made to cater to her every whim, to accept her incessant drugging and who wanted custody of the baby, naturally, to protect her - anyway, Anna Nicole Smith was a monster, should not be listened to in any legal fashion, especially concerning the welfare of the baby, and let's face it - we'd all rush to take any other baby away from a drug-dealing non-related man a mother had merely lived with, if Howard had done that much! - and we'd give the baby to the Grandma and her real family to protect!
That said, and believe me, showbiz is full of monstrous personalities, I want to mention the one good thing Anna Nicole ever did in her life - doing the Peta anti-fur ads, which she might have done out of the love in her heart for animals. I hope so!
Even if she o nly did it in order to be able to portray her idol, Marilyn Monroe - another person I feel should not be idolized due to the fact that she was hooker as apparently was Anna Nicole, did nudity, which I feel should not ever be applauded - prurient interest money-making is not something I admire - even if narcissim and vanity were Anna Nicole's reasons for doing the Peta anti-fur ads, it still helped the animals, and I hope it counts toward something good as her soul gets weighed in in heaven.
She needs to count every good thing she ever did, since the harm she caused everyone in the world is immense, including this sick obsession with her messes she left behind her, as usual, for better people to clean up. After all, Bush is using this time to drag us into a war now with Iran !

And when did things get so perverse that the idea of a "great Mother" became just clinging to a child? Dragging that child through a horrible, sleazy, disreputable life, rather than settling down, considering what that child needs, like stability, like family, like sane, normalcy?
It's so amazing to me that the considerations, the foibles, the ideas of a drugged-out stripper, nude model, media whore (yes, I said it), hanger-on, aggressive self-aggregandizer who stands o nly for intoxicated clownish behavior and outright nauseating money-grubbing using people, playing people, like the hustler she first left home to become in a strip bar at seventeen - why should any opinions of this type of person be counted at all?
Yes, the others surrouding her, like her Mother, are not media-savvy, and she couldn't figure out how the questions hammered at her by that hideous attack dog, Krista Barth, had to do with anything, faltering since people from tiny, quiet towns are not used to being bullied like this - yes, she is not worldly, and yes, the others are.
As we all await the whim of that insanely self-promoting Judge Seidlin, I'm just amazed at the whole thing.
Set everything without the hangers-on, the sycophant fame groupies, the potential fortune, and Howard K. Stern's money needs, and then decide how you'd want an innocent child to be placed - with the Grandma and her relatively sane life, of course, where the bodies should be moved immediately!
The Judge Seidlin attempted Emmy performance is thankfully ended, tears and all.
Talk about using the media to self-serve!
He first said to give the decision to the appointed counsel for the baby, and then decided to give the body of Anna Nicole to the Bahamas, where, doubtless, pieces of her body will now go o n sale very soon worldwide.
By the way, equating the Anna Nicole, suitable for female wrestling, to Ophelia was so beyond absurdity that really, Judge Seidlin must be beyond Alzheimer's!
He kept insisting she was "fragile"!!!! This powerful, loud, brassy woman fragile?
Not at all!
Tough, stubborn, six-feet-tall, pushy, and very streetwise, she used her strip club smarts to use people all her life, to swindle rent, spending money, etc. just like a streetwalker.
The tragedy remains what about that tiny, innnocent life that, thankfully, she didn't have a chance to ruin as she had her o nly son, Daniel.
When I'd, growing up, watch that little boy having to toddle after that tall Amazon woman while she'd make him attend even surrilous radio shows like Howard Stern's, which a small child should never have heard of, through parties, late nights, traveling and all, made to be just another o ne of her entourage, another prop for her public image, sadly, that little boy never have a chance at life, really.
Thank God that Dannielynn - IF - that Richard Millstein decides in a decent way for her, that is, which is - well, Florida is known for corruption, isn't it? As are the island nations...we''ll just have to see.
As long as she gets away from the hideous Svengali who hopes to capitalize now o n her, as he had o n her mother, then maybe Dannielynn will survive.
Hopefully, she'll have inherited the toughness of her mother in a good way, will find her way to Texas and her relatives, and will be allowed to live a normal life.
I wonder...

P.S.- Don't we have better female heroes? Or at least females who have not exploted their bodies in order to make money? Where are the Margaret Meads? (my personal hero)
Do you have ideas for REAL women who are heroines?
