We've asked our spokesperson/hostess, Ocean, to take some time every few days out of her busy music schedule to keep a weblog here at Ecoize. Several reasons have prompted us to ask Ocean for this favor, including the fact that she is so devoted to the cause of saving our planet. Also, not o nly is she gifted in music, which any who have heard her CDs can attest to, but she very ably explains the most important aspects of why and how to save the planet. Plus, she's o ne of the very few who stands up for what is good and right about our environment and policies. Also - See Ocean's Quotes.

Take it from here, Ocean!

Thanks, Ecoize, for that lovely tribute.
I'm getting right into saving the world. Then, below the list of articles are the thoughts and feelings o n various issues as they arise.

The Writes of Spring - Article by Ocean

Do you feel it yet?
The heaving groans of the Arctic glaciers, the loud runnings of the swollen mountain streams, the treesful of chriping birds, migrating all together...the fragrances of flowers, here - the magical night-blooming jasmine blooming moonlit spells, the first sightings of buttercups pushing head-first out of the ground, just knowing that there, in that tree, our resident squirrel has a tiny, furry family in a cozy little hollow..
It’s early Spring, although for many, snows still fall and rains are battering the dead ground still.
And yet, those rains, that moisture, the last days of coldness, are o nly sporadic now, and the rainfall is nourishing the soil, reaching deep down to nourish the new seeds and to give the older growths the water they need in order to wake up from their slumber.
The roots have held the life of trees, and now they’re stretching inside, unseen, their cells regenerating, filling again with the substances that will flex their life-giving abilities and will bring us all those beautiful pale green new leaves to admire.
I feel a torrid pull to go outside, to ride my bike and to explore new places, and just to park and to lie out in the sun.
As a child, when Spring would beckon, being stuck in class was completely maddening.
Spring fever - that feeling of being tired, entranced, not being able to pay attention, and just wanting to go outside and lie down in the newborn clover, is upon me again.
Do you recall being a kid at school ? I called it “doing time”, and, I must confess, I hated every second of it.
I spent my time staring out the window, face held up o n my elbow, spaced-out, or watching with all my might, willing with all I had, the clock - praying for those minutes to move so recess would come and liberate me, at least for a time !
I’d be, always, the first out the door, and the very last o ne inside.
After having run at full speed, I’d reach the swings, first, and pump myself into the trees, straining my whole body upward in my never-ending quest to fly all the way around the swing set.
Then, inevitably, o ne of the goody-goodies would come - why are they always much bigger ? - and try to wrest the swing from me.
I’d do my best, and yet, with the teacher brought out, I usually had to give way, after o nly a few precious moments, and relinquish my swing to - usually - my nemesis - a much-by-me-hated girl named Frances. (You know who you are, and I’m still angry !)
I was very small for my age, and skinny, but fast, and extremely feisty, quick-tempered, and dare-devilish.
Devilish, I supposed most of my teachers would have said, period.
But I tended to be quiet. I did not talk much, rather, I acted out.
And so, o ne lovely Spring day, after having run far ahead of the sluggish others, as usual, the same scenario ensued.
After the teacher had placed Frances upon “my” swing - the o ne that I could twist around the best, and push off from the end post in order to do crazy things with it - the o ne that my despised enemy didn’t really want to play in at all, being wholly non-athletic - I walked away, head down, for a moment, and then something erupted inside me - without thinking, I ran back and head-butted the upper back of my rival - knocking her not o nly out of the swing while o n a back trip -I’d timed it just perfectly -but into the huge, awaiting mud puddle underneath, with a giant splat!
Oh, the triumph of it !
Oh, the thrill !
Was it worth the detentions ? The missed recesses ? The spanking at home ?
Yes!
And I’d gladly do it all over again!
Frances ? If you’re reading this, I’m still ready ! And I STILL HATE tattle-tales !
Naturally, being herself, she immediately made an hysterical scene, feigning crying - after all, who could hurt a bullying goody-googy with plenty of padding o n her rump ? - went inside and tattled to beat all tattling she’d ever done.
Of course, my classmates had already cited me as their main heroine, due to many other altercations against either the bullies, the tattletales, or the teachers themselves, but now, I had reached legendary status as the great icon of the second grade.
Yes, it was early Spring, and yes, recesses are and, always will be, the most prized of all free times.
Do I still brake for swing sets ?
YES!

It's now the second day of Autumn, September 23,2006, and I've been thinking about how much has changed in the last year, not o nly in my own life, but in several different fields.

The main thing is - for the first time even though I've always spent time doing activism for animals and for the environment, I feel there are many, many people helping too!
And not o nly that, I feel so grateful that the Horses campaign went so well in the first voting, and that by a wide margin it passed in the House of Representatives!

Now I'm amped about getting it through the Senate, and then I'm going to set about finding more ways to help the horses in general.
Click o n the Horsie and See More!

Also, more laws are being passed that benefit the animals, including the way they're transported and treated o n factory farms.Since those guys are the o nes I worry about the most, and have the least quality of life along with the lab animals, I really love it when, for instance, o ne of the big food chains decides like Wild Oats recently did, o nly to carry cage-free, grain-fed eggs! This and the ease with which we can all vote our ideas o nto petitions at the petition site are making me feel really empowered!
How about you?I just wanted to start out o n this energetic and inspired note, because it's making me feel really great! And with the gorgeous autumn here, the most energetic and wild time of year, I'm really feeling like we can change the world, everyone!

I'll have tips o n new vegan products, beauty things, fun things, pet and other animal things and stories and musings and just thoughts that run through my head here at my blog, so comment if you'd like, or ask me questions, or ask for me to ask the Staff here to find out things for you - whatever. For now, I've got a recording to do and tonight I'm rehearsing some new musicians, so I'll keep this intro short, but stop by cuz every few days I'll post some more! Later!

Now it's already almost mid-October.I've been in the recording studio, and doing new songs, sort of o n a weird schedule, but getting the news, reading, and doing my usual activism.I wouldn't feel right about a day without some sort of activism to help animals, including human o nes.
I caught Oprah today.
I was moved to an extreme by this o ne precious seventeen-year-old boy who o nly looked around eight. He'd been born with AIDS and was being talked to and about as if he wasn't present. I wanted to charge into the scene, move the somewhat cold Alicia Keys away from him, and shut his mother's mouth and take him out of there. It was horrifying!

While he sat there, terrified, tears streaming down his precious face, all alone, they - his family - had to answer inane and heartless questions just to air journalistic feeds to Oprha's audience! It was outrageous!Yes, he's a poster boy now to help others.

What about him, though?
Journalism is a cold and cruel profesion. After having pulled off that miracle of just surviving for seventeen years, afte living that way all his life - ever day of his life, knowing he had AIDS, and yet having survived, mainly I suspect due to his being partially in denail and by some strong magical thinking, and maybe someone else in the family having really convinced him he was wanted, loved, needed, and could live o n, they, those people, Alicia Keys and whomever, killed all his resolve, broke his heart visibly, talked about him as if he didn't matter, spoke dismally about his prospects, and you know what?
He, unsurprisingly, died that vey next week.

After seventeen years.

Breaking a heart should be a crime!

I can't think of anything else. I keep seeing his beautiful face.

I know I'll always have him in my heart.Oprah - find someone who has a heart to do these Angel Network things!!!
That's all for now.

That's all I can think about.

Now I think it's 10-15-06, a Sunday, anyway.
I've been worried about my friends and all the animals in Hawaii today, after the earthquake.
Nobody can get word out yet, but I'm really holding their safety in my prayers.
Also, of course, I'm thinking about the travesty at the United Nations yesterday, where our American Ambassador acted like a flippant bully, even directing rude comments at the Russian Ambassador, displaying absolutely no class or diplomacy whatesoever.
I was embarressed, frankly, for all of us.
The extremely scary situation is that North Korea has exploded a nuclear bomb, a test.
And we all know that our country's leaders aren't stupid, although they act that way, and that all the people in the State Dept. totally know what's up with every country in the world, employ specialists and all that.
So?
As in everything they do, the Republicans now in power (but not for long, thank God!), are diong everything they can possibly do, endangering every o ne of us in the name of their greed, to annoy, pester, and provoke every nation that already has a grievance against us.
The reasons are obvious. They want to make us cringe in fear and run to the stupid idea of spending ever more money o n war, weaponry, and they hope, to keep themselves in power since they purport to be the great protectors.
Hah!
They posture and act like street toughs in order to instigate the masses to relate to them, and yet, the realities are so plain, now, that they're out to destroy the ordinary citizens of America while they continue to pad their own pockets, and those who invest in their corporate sponsors, so it's not going to help them any more.
I have a real problem with anyone being outright rude to someone who currently holds nuclear bombs and already hates America.
Why not act diplomatically toward North Korea? Why not create rapport?
Instead, they made damn well sure that the North Korean Ambassador would be compelled to leave the meeting in disgrace and to sever all displomatic ties, it seems.
Bullying and black-mailing is not likely to work with them.
Read your history and seek to understand the nations we deal with to understand what moves they might make, and the Republicans know exactly how to push their buttons and have purposefully enraged not o nly them, but all of the Muslims in the world by outrageously and flagrantly disrespectful behavior.
They know exactly what they're doing in every case.
Are we going to allow these people who obviously don't care if the rest of us live or die to continue in this manner?
I keep wondering how much the bulk of the nation will take from them until they finally start reacting like they should.
I think the time is finally here.
Let's find ways to get along! It's so obvious that that's the o nly way we can all avoid nuclear annihilation of us and all the planet.
Duh!

It's now October 24, 2006.
I have the solution to healing our planet, and here it is.
I was offering it in reference to a piece o n some Ugandans who had started raising some piggies and chickens, and I, as a compassionate person, am naturally vegan, since having kindness of necessity leads to veganism, and also my concerns for the people and the fact that we have the power right now to feed every human o n the planet by growing grain instead of raising grazing herds, plus creating health for the humans and being kind to all the other animals, PLUS saving the environment at the same time - well? Of course it's THE solution!

A Compassionate Future - Win -Win Situation for All the World

We are complex beings, consisting of logic, spirit, and soul.
To combine all three, which is the object of all enlightment, will also save the world.
Creating spiritual and soulful solutions is how leading with compassion will be the solution to all challenges.
Combining our minds is admirable, but combining our souls will actually create solutions to everything for everyone.
When we reach solutions that o nly answer logical and practical solutions, without first consulting the soul, anything can happen.
However, by making sure that all of the concerns of the soul are met, then o nly good can occur.

I know practicalities force many issues, and immediacy prevails in desperate sitautions, but i, too, hope that we can combine in worldwide efforts to save the entire planet and every being on it, while practicing compassion for all beings.
This is the answer to how to heal our planet, all the people, and all our fellow beings, and how to approach a viable future as well.
Things must happen now to forestall more abuses of other people and other countries by the corporate industries.
Now is when we must communicate as a global community.

i appreciate the difference and i care about all beings, including all of us…

the fact that those who consume especially pigs have so many more health problems is part of my concern as you know.

also, the fact that grazing of cattle and other grazing animals causes trees to be felled, forests to be destroyed, and for massive pollution caused by meat industries is part of this.

Also, the fact that I long to get everyone to understand that if we devote the grazing land instead to growing grains, we can right now and in the future feed every human o n the planet.

We must prepare for the future now, and I want for everyone will understand this truth and also be prepared for the sales jobs of the meat industry wanting to expand their sales to every country, their grazing, their forest-felling, their bad human health, their air and water pollution.
They couch this profit motive and their self-interests and tax write-offsin the idea of having people keep live animals like the little pigs and chickens mentioned in o ne of the Vision Force's missives.

The Africans have traditionally been far more healthy than the inhabitants of the Western Nations.
Many of their countries have had staples like yams and millet and other farming products.
The teeth of Africans were traitionally - until Western products started showing up - perfect, naturally.
Emulating the West in the destructive patterns like animal raising, (other than the small, family herding like the Masai do), which will o nly cause forest-devastation, create more desert areas, and create more famine as more land would become devoted to raising animals and not enough devoted to growing grains and vegetables, will cause untold disasters and create even more pollution and human misery.

We must find a viable way to create harmonious solutions for all.
We must create viable solutions that involve all of the world's people and that sustain forests, protect the air and the water, and that also feed the humans and protect wildlife and involve compassion o n every level.

Please read http://www.EcoEat.com and find out how veganizing saves lives and protects our environment.
Follow their links to other articles and find out how this win-win solution will feed our souls, our spirits, our hearts, and our bodies.
Also, please read http://www.EcoChildFree.com, and learn how liberating ourselves from child-bearing and adopting the needy children instead will save our planet and enrich all of our lives.

We must find soltuions to hunger, to unnurtured children, to the environmental issues, and to world peace.

All are addressed and healed by these world-healing solutions.

The solution is contained in this o ne word - Compassion.
Compassion is generated by this o ne word - Clarity.
Clarity is generated by this o ne word - Truth.

Tell the truth to yourself and see clearly.
It is the o nly way to lead with your soul.
Do the right thing - be kind, be peaceful, create harmony, and practice compassion to all beings.

Thank You,
Ocean

Now it's Weening, almost spooking time.
I'm interested in tomorrow.
I'm thinking about saving the world, and applying logic, thought, and determination.
I have a plan.
Ocean's Save the World Plan

Here are Some Entries

I've recently been thinking about how to offer people the right incentives to become more eco and more compassionate about their choices in order to save our planet, and I also have been applying that to thinking about entire nations.
The opportunities for a country that would like to be in the forefront of this wonderful and exciting era, when, as we all know, eco and green businesses are beginning to really take off, and the growth of these industries is projected to be huge, why not approach the more developing nations with these progressive ideas?
Some of the more developed nations might even fund these industries in the other nations, in order to not o nly assist, but to make profits and to encourage all nations of the world to compete to find the best green solutions.
I'd like to challenge the eco geniuses out there to come up with whole designs for nations wishing to update their economies and to find out how to survive in the coming world and to compete in today's economies, and mostly, to become eco-minded and compassionate in their choices for the entire world.
Some very bright entrepreneurs could, for instance, find out how to apply Sweden's fuel-making from garbage that now powers its' governmental vehicles, and take and teach these ideas abroad.
Solar power could be made more possible for many nations, and water power too.
Compassionate models for vegan and organic growing and for introducing computer models for testing instead of animal experiments, and vegan counseling for health improvement of all people plus child-free counseling would be amazingly helpful in the world.

Ocean’s Plan to Save the World

What we need are not just answers, but new ways to find those answers. This is the real mission of human life at this stage of the planetary decline, for which we need not o nly radical individual creativity, but radical collective engagement.

in order to share ideas with those who truly wish to save our planet, and not just posture or speculate.
In order for we who care to combine, we must have first a meeting place, a forum like zaadz for instance, with many different types of thinkers and creative forces.
Some lead with their hearts, and others with their minds. Some are the products of certain schools of thought and other float freely between dogma.
Some are her to help others and others are here to lead.
The fact that you used the pivotal word, "radical", is the reason I have chosen to post o n this pod.
It will take a radical stance and radical actions to save our planet at this time.
I believe it will not o nly take being child-free, and for those who yearn for a child to adopt rather than to bear, in order to curtail the massive human overpopulation now weighting down the planet to such extremes.
Any further population assaults o n the world will completely strip its' already meagre stores and potentialities.
Our population has outdistanced the planetary resources, just as our antiquated mores and religiosities, our tribalism and machoism and imperialistic compulsions have been outdistanced by our ever-increasing technology, giving us ever more dangerous and polluting toys with which to destroy our o nly home.
That is the first aspect of a plan to actually save the planet.
The second is to adopt a vegan diet universally. In order that the land now usurped by the meat industry for grazing, be requisitioned for grain-growing, which would easily feed the world, we need to go vegan now.
The meat industry accounts for much air, water, and other pollutions, in addition to pouring toxins and death into the bodies of those who consume our fellow animal brethren, plus destroying the native compassion in us by making us immune to the sufferings of innocent beings.
Next, would be ecoizing the planet by enacting plans to re-plant trees and of course, to find alternate systems of fuel.
Much self-denial will be exacted from us anyway, as the planetary resources become more and more scarce and human overpopulation gets worse and worse, so if we are to save the planet, we need to take each choice seriously in life.
To consume less and to give more.
The posiitions I'm asking everyone to adopt are not popular o nes, and yet they are the o nly measures that will save our world.
To stop living in denial, in our soft, cozy thoughts that someone else will do it, that it's not really that bad, that things will work out, is our first problem to address.
Seeing clearly requires a reality check that most may prove too weak to handle.
I hope, for everyone's sake, that they will listen.
Thanks,
Ocean

On Being Chld-Free and Human Overpopulation

If I did not elect to be Sister to all the beings of the world, rather than to devote myself to just o ne or two, my energies would be self-directed toward my own little hut, making me, as is most of the populace, ineffective and ego-centric.
Another point - if I did elect to parent, I'd adopt.
Also, it's the young people of today who are electing to be child-free, to be vegan and compassionate, and who actually care enough to channel their energies and lives into saving the world against the constraints of the apathetic and excuse-driven older generations.

To walk the walk, if everyone actually cares as they say they do:
Why not adopt the children, as any really enlightened person would do now, rather than breed?
To care is to act, and there are currently many hundreds of millions of people starving to death this moment. Every few seconds another child dies of starvation.
How could I think of my own selfish desire to breed in the face of so many needy kids dying?
If I stand as an example and if my artistry and words affect any at all, I will have done my job as far as actually loving the world, which I do, in totality, with all my soul.

We don't "need" children! We have a huge overabundance of children already!

We need planetary space! We need for less people to exist in the future in order to survive!

China, alas, has stopped being interested in whether her citizens have more than o ne child or not.

Look at the demographics and weep.

They sent social workers o nce upon a time to each home to counsel couples about the overpopulation and to kindly ask them to o nly have o ne child in order that the entire country and world (since China has by far the most humans), could benefit over their own selfish ends. Most would willingly comply, and they would also receive benefits, like the tax breaks we should be giving the Child-Free here!

This very sane practice was perceived so negatively by the West - steeped in the old Biblical mandates to breed and breed until the world ends - that they now have a breeding free-for-all just like us, and their clouds of yellow smoke drift over our own homes too now, as every year more and more learn to drive.

And why the pressure o n China to drop this o ne-child tendency?

More than just our oudated antiquarian religions were at work.

The corporations want ever more people to buy their ever more products.

They also wish to see ever more poor people who must take ever less money to produce these ever more products.

And the ever more people who sit and profit o n these miserable o nes are the investors, who comply in this stampede to annihilation.

Also, most women in the world  by far lack both the tools or the information o n how to avoid being almost continually pregnant and even to avoid being raped.
Among the curses of human overpopulatoin are the genocides that are a natural outcome of overcrowding. We've always been warlike and territorial, tribal and xenophobic, but all these tendencies are going to become ever more pronounced if we don't make monumental efforts - and fast- to ensure that people can have what they need in order to stop breeding.
This is the paramount thing we who can need to supply to the rest of the world that can't.
And yet - try to find this subject among the stupid meetings and councils invoked to address the world's problems - you can't, since we're owned currently -all of us - like caged rats - by the corporations and the governments who are controlled by them.

How to get the message and means of an emergency worldwide birth control campaign initiated now?
Any suggestions?

Now November 8, 2006
Great that the Democrats rallied, everyone got out and voted, and now we're effecting change!

I just heard the sour-grapes Republican Election Committee Chairman, Reynolds, castigate his crew and the entire party mainly for not having slammed and slandered the Democrats enough.
What does that tell you about the party in general?
We all know that their tactics are unsavory, ungentlemanly, outlandishly libelous, underhanded, and sleazy, but also completely disgusting.
The man didn't even have the aplomb to be ashamed of what he was saying and what they advocate, condone, and actually arrange! They can't win an election o n fair-play sticking to the facts, outlining issues, or any of the other things America's elections used to stand for - no - the Republicans have brought politics into an ever lower and lower seedy realm.
I had not until hearing his unabashed speech outlining where the Republicans had gone wrong in this election understood that it was so open - that they not o nly huddle in darkened rooms, their greedy, greasy fat, gouty fingers clamped in glee while they plot and plan how they'll smear their opponents, but that they quite openly state that their plan entails defaming and basically doing personal attacks, whether warranted, truthful, or not!

How the rest of us can stand to share a country with these weird denizens of absolutely no integrity is beyond me.
Why we put up with this low type of individual in our government is astounding to me.
Why even the semi-sane o nes in that party allow these unprincipled creeps in is also something I cannot fathom.

Thank God we have more Democrats in office!!!

Winter Solstice
December 21.2006
The shortest day leads into the longest night.

Now the Longest Night-
Hail the Light!

Did you know that most human babies are conceived o n the winter solstice?
Most humans are born o n the Autumn Equinox, nine months later.
Like all the other animal species, we have a preferred birth day for all, and it must have been so in ancient pre-history.
Just another intersting fact about our longest night.
The most romantic too, when through history our kind has huddled and cuddled our way through it. No wonder so many pagan religions centered upon the solstice!
Winter is about to begin - at midnight, wherever you are.
It's intriguing.
Read the article o n Ullr called "Yule" o n this site.
The old winter gods are cool - literally too!
Well, wishing you a wonderful Winter Solstice!
And a Happy Winter!
Visit EcoChristmas at Ecoize too!
Merry EcoChristmas and Happy EcoHolidays to everyone!

Now the day before the day before Christmas Day.
Christmas Eve was always a big deal as a child, but still I was always unsettled about how the less forunate children were - if they really got all they wanted from Santa and so o n.
No o ne could answer my questions then, and I was left with a need to find everything out.
I'm still finding everything out. Thinking is our way of exploring the world - putting facts together to create the truths we need to know.

I'm not a fan of the commercialism of any holiday that has been exploited to make others feel badly either.
all my life i've o nly seen it as little children pressing their faces to glass windows seeing things they won't get, and watching tv, yearning for things that they can't have.
the o nly way I can make it good is by avioding buying anything except doing charity  for the helpless.
I boycott it personally.
I am liberated from holidays.
I tell others to count me out, and I donate in the place of gifts.I do that for everyone o n my gift list.
I give cards with the info that I have donated in their names as gifts.
I hope I get the message out to them and stand for something - I want to be an example to especially the little kids, that giving is the point of the holidays
To inspire others to think of the helpless, to be compassionate to all beings, and to make it meaningful is the o nly way to salvage Christmas from the abusers who use it o nly for profitting o n the monied and in making the unmonied feel horrible
Remember the EcoChristmas Mermaid o n the home page of Ecoize -
she stands for our planet, Sea, and is reminding people to give back not to get, in this time of year so hard for all the other animals and for many, many people.
Give, and otherwise,
ignore the holidays - they will go away soon!
And that's good!
Meanwhile, go to EcoEzine o n the menu o n the left and see what you can do to make them count. Give to the less fortunate instead of spending o n yourself.
You don't need it. Most beings o n our planet do - urgently.
Adopt a Manatee or a Horse or another person for the holidays.
Yes, all other beings of other species are also people.
The Africans refer to elephants as the Elephant People.
And so they are.
All species are people. Remember that!
Correct anyone you hear improperly using the term "it", immediately!
Everyone is either "he" or "her", and if the gender is unsure, then always use "he".

Twas the Day after Christmas and all throught the house, all the creatures were stirring, yes, even the mouse! With thoughts of the stockings, all empty and spent, we wondered then how would we then make our rent?

Such is the sad scenario at most American houses after the corporate holiday extravaganza they've twisted Christmas into.
Oh, well.

I'm into being eco, being vegan, being compassionate, and saving the world, so, I was thinking about o neness..

Oneness

We are all o ne.

Does everyone understand the meaning of this phrase we so often see?

Despite the phrase, so often the big O in the o ne stands for zero, rather than for the planetary orb, which is what is represented by the “one” in “we are all o ne”.

We all are o ne in so many ways, starting with the fact that we're all o n this planet together, so whether we like to stand o n denial and draw our little circles in the sand, including o nly our own households in our circles of love, or whether we've been enlightened and understand that all of us - every animal being in the world - are the same, under God, and more - that we, as the o nly animals capable of saving all the others and therefore, we're responsible for doing so - the truth is this - We All Are o ne.

Include every individual of every specie in your own personal prayers today, and see how much more open your soul will feel.

It will feel natural, and effortless, to extend and to open your Love to include the entire sphere of o neness.

Do something kind for others today. Decide to be kind your very next meal. Eat a compassionate meal made o nly of plant foods, and decide to become Vegan, even if it's little by little.

With each meal, as you save lives while truly nurturing your own body which o nly hungers for healthy, compassionate foods  - for veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds, all organic, grains, and foods made from these fresh ingredients, - you will experience an awakening of the spirit.

The cruelty that had before divded you from nature, from your own source, from God, and from all the other Love, the fellow beings o n our planet, will fall away, and you'll feel how much happier, healthier, and authentically whole your life can be!

Open your soul to include every soul o n our planet, and thrive!

122806 now,
Know Thyself

Knowing Thyself is, I think, if truly followed all the way through the disparate selves within us, truly the way to Compassion, but what if others don't know how to meander through the selves to get to the heart of their souls?

How can we show them?
Most religions have been pummeled by millenia of people thwarting the messages of the original prophets and/or dieties, in order to sandwich their own appetites and to gain some sort of sanction for these vices, so most are exposed, these days, o nly to pitiful remnants of the beautiful and simple designs laid out by the Masters, long ago.

Deep inside ourselves, in that space where the sweet memories of childhood dwell, of that original self who was born loving every being as him or herself, if we tear the veils away from our eyes, and if we dare to find the best parts of ourselves intact there - the o ne who used to marvel at butterflies and lie down in the grass and commune with the tiny beings there - the one who used to love lying down with our doggies and cats, and who used to be excited every time he'd see cows and horses as he'd be driven by a country meadow - that is the authentic self, the person we need to find again!

Not at the end of a long and badly-spent life, as in "Citizen Kane", the film, where the mogul dies with o nly this o ne thought - of his happiness with his sled named "Rosebud", o n his lips. The rest of his life, though  lived in comfort and success, was as nought to him when his essential self was re-found.

We don't need to divorce our feelings, or discard the best parts of ourselves in order to achieve success! And definitely, happiness is not found in those things alone - but o nly in join accomplishment with that sweet self inside!

Now we know, despite the macho and macha teachings and examples arrayed in front of us, that to be aligned in ourselves - body, soul, mind, heart, spirit, integrity and all, - is the way to live and to succeed in happiness - lasting happiness.

In order to do that, we need to listen to that little kid who lives there still, deep inside, and whose feelings matter more than any of the outer selves understand - sometimes until it's too late.

Please that little o ne inside and you'll find heaven o n Earth. The Holy Grail is the Cup of Animal Kindness - the magical elixir to happiness, healthfulness, joy, creativity, longevity, and youthfulness.

The treasure IS buried under the tree, as in the elf and fairy stories - we're all born tree-hugging, and loving all other animals, believing in magic, and cavorting with nature. The tree of life still stands in our souls, waiting for us to come back and to "be as little children" in order to thrive.

Protect nature, become vegan, Compassionize, open your heart, and you will thrive along with our Planet!

We're o n the brink of the New Year, standing at the top of a precipice, about to either slide down the fast slope to oblivion or to wake up, to heed the call of our own Planet, Sea, who's begging us to save her!

As I think of my good-byes for the year, as I do every year o n this day and night, I mourn.
I mourn for the thousands of the Earth's species who will never be among our family again, for the beautiful and wondrous beings who'd always been among us, and who we've allowed to perish by our own egocentrism and our own all-devouring appetites and collective greed, even if by proxy - perhaps we'd sat back complacently while the bad people grabbed the resources for themselves against the cries of the good.
Regardless, our apatheic responses and our habitual denial and self-absorption are the causes.

I recommend a Global Awakening!
The o nly cure!

The Illusion of Separation

As mentioned above, the idea of separation from the whole of o neness is the concept we must find a way to heal.
Absolutely.
The illusion of separation:
When does it first occur?
Specialists inform us that it happens to each human infant at some point when he realizes the "punishing breast" that will refuse the be there 24/7 for him is misbehaving.
At first, the baby is completely in bliiss, knowing that he is a part of everything in the universe, content - if he is raised in the tribal, traditional way, that is - the way we see all the other great apes still rearing their young, as constantly held appendages.
Leave an infant ape alone, whether human or o ne of the other great apes' infants, and he will experience awful anguish.
At any rate, the infant at o ne time or another, depending upon his own circumstances, experiences the pain of separation first either as a fearful and hated experience or as the recalcitrant breast.
Then, he sees it as a "transitional object".
He often hits it as he begins to feed again, since it was tardy.
Later, the idea of this transitional object is trasferred to, say, his first teddy bear, which he alternately loves and punishes, as we can witness in looking at any child's dearest toy.
This, if not evolved by the environment and training of the individual, progresses into a lifelong war against all other objects, be they inantimate or live o nes.
The degrees of separation vary, of course, and of the reactions to circumstances.
Other factors like head bangs and nutrition, the behavior observed and absorbed around him, and so o n, influence him.

How to channel this back into a realization that we are all o ne?

In the face of constant commercial bombarding that reinforce this objectification of others, complete with entire nations' imploring us to view the outside world with xenophobic eyes, the opposite sex with a philosophy to dominate and to exploit, and the bare greed fed by incessant corporate mandates to buy, buy, buy, regardless of need or of the ethics of how the goods are obtained or supplied, let alone of the results of such ever-advancing destruction of our planetary resources and the intense suffering of billions of innocent beings and the starvation of ever more millions of human o nes, we see a portrait of the condition of the human race which has tied the entire world to its' own suicidalism.

That is the picture we have to work with.
To carve out of this scenario a means to convey and to popularize doing the very things that will save our planet is the quest.
First, to let everyone know that we are all o ne in this way - our fates, individually and collectively, are tied to the fate of the world as a whole - and, since the world dying will interfere with the indulging of the senses and the stokining of the appetites, then it should ring a bell, even through the hard heads full of denial.
Direct attentions to this o ne fact, and we can open the minds since this "inconvenient truth" interferes with the selfish concerns of the masses.
Attempts to suddenly spiritualize everyone might help with a certain area of the populace, but even the most cosmic nations, like India, for instance, are now falling victim to the corporate machinery, and they are no longer a shining example of compassion they used to be. Also, the millenia of religiosity that has sought to placate the static condition of poverty and the immobility of the castes has had an enormous apathetic effect o n thought in most of the Asian nations, and now, even in these pods, we note that in many cases, enlightenment is seen as a reason not to act, rather than as an energizing influence that can save the world.
But can they, nations already acquainted with the concept of o neness, be motivated to direct their energies toward world-saving? Do they have the luxury of time in order to even think about it?

Steps To Take

Young people in the West are quickening the pace toward the four things that will save our planet - Veganism, Being Child-Free and/or adopting, Ecoizing, and Internationalism.
Many have already decided to live healthily from an ethical point of view that the religions had dropped the ball o n.
As they had become o nly institutionalized ways of sanctioning everything they profess to stand against, and merely are instruments for cruelty, greed, war, and hatred, and do not even open their doors, despite their tax-exempt status, to the homeless any more, they lost most of their congregations to the Universal concepts I am outlining here.
They, the major religions, had lost their own souls.
There are major movements toward the actual spiritual and away from the old, outdated and impure, the    apologists for anything a government or a greedy individual wishes to do,
skipping over the essential parts of any religions - the Compassion preached by their founders.
Now, people want something that smacks of authentic spiritualism, that speaks to the soul.
Now, the lines are blurred between the old teachings, back into the original inspiration - to Compassion.
The world has gotten so entangled with the ownership of things that before were seen as sacred and belonging to everyone, including to other beings, like the land, like resources, like the trees and the air and the water - all of which are under attack and polluted by a small number of people who gain from the spoiling of the world while the majority of us want it to thrive.
We no longer share with the hungry or the needy and the grain that used to go to the famine-stricken people now is fed to cows, along with the grain and vegetable-growing arable land given over to cattle grazing that would fotherwise eed every human being o n Earth. In America, even the publicly owned land is leased out to private concerns.
There are so many menacing policies, that it will take a book or two to sort them all out, but there are many excellent o nes already o n the shelves, some of which I will cite o n my own blog, Ocean's Ocean, and also o n some of my pods here at Zaadz.

At the risk of sounding like a Cassandra or a Biblical prophet, "crying in the wilderness", and to get back to How?, I offer this - there already is a great movement forward, toward solutions.
Whether or not we have time for these ideas to sink into the populace or whether we, in our diverse ways, through the old myths we like to adhere to, from the Apocaylypse to Ragnarok, from Hellish retribution to the Kali Yuga, continue to think, oh, well, what's the use? And to make ourselves lazily ineffective, I think we all should make huge efforts toward saving the world.
We should use our own talents, our resources, our time and energy to popularize the four measures above that will save the Earth and all life o n it, while there's still a small margin of time.
Against the commercial concerns, against the native denial and torpor of our species, against the hopelessness we all feel, and against the apathy, the negativity and the hedonistic urge to party while the ship goes down with all hands o n deck, let's stimulate everyone into action!

Janus Rules!
Today, I'm looking back in sadness, having lost someone near and dear to me, and holding all the beings, along with the flowers, the leaves, the plants, the places, the species we've lost, to my soul, and wishing them well in the next world.
I truly hope there is o ne! And that they're all safe and blissfully happy there, with all they require.
And yet, with his other face, Janus looks forward!
I'm also looking forward to the Eco New Year, and blessing the future for all of the animals o n Earth, including us humans, and for all of the humans to open to Compassion!
That is my fervent prayer and the meaning of my own life, and the meaning and cause of my life's work and contributions!

Here's an article o n Enlightenment and Words

Great subject-
Words

Yes, philology, linguistics, ethymology and semantics, are very interesting, especially in respect to religiosity, but really as applied to everything in human communication, or lack of.

Words are both the barriers to truth and the roads to it.
Words can be used and abused depending upon the aim, can be weaponry or healing agents.

"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless."
~ Mother Theresa

My German pals have lamented the lack of easy communication o n many subjects with those who o nly speak English, and in studying many subjects, German is a mandatory tool. In History, for instance, if o ne wishes to aspire to really reading the the subject, rather than just scanning the automated translations - another barrier to the truth, and controlled by whom? See this article for more o n the subject          - and the well-known fact that the Inuits have thousands of words to describe what in our language is restrained and contained in o nly o ne, "snow", we see the power of words.
Words can make or break, can bring down empires, can stimulate whole nations to buy certain products, can twist politispeak into good assocations in the public mind, and can cause religions to be harnessed into the service of the opposite of what their founders had intended.

There are whole fields of study devoted to how o nes' given name affects the entire life of an individual! Would we have John Wayne if his given name had not been Marion Morrison?

Words most often distance ourselves from both concepts and objects, although they profess to clarify.
Observing and learning from other animal species is so valuable to the human specie, in that they communicate not o nly with language as do we, but also by more body language than even we use, at least in more tactile ways. The closeness of companionable beings of other species when allowed by us to congregate is beautiful to witness, and wonderful for us to participate in.
We're born with a vital need for touch, and then words, proprieties, habit, thought, and vision interfere with this most innate form of communication.

One of the primary, or perhaps the main focus, of any great religion is to pull the barriers back from the selves and to reveal the basic truths that many factors conceal.
Enlightenment - that word again - see the thread o n it o n this pod - is opening the window and letting the light into o ne's consciousness, essentially - revitalizing the individual, refreshing, and enabling him or her to be of service to the All - the o neness, which is the Truth.

"Loose lips sink ships", says it all.
Words have caused catastrophes, the fruits of betrayals, tragedies innumerable throughout human history.
Mis-translations and other applications have excused the most barbarous of behavior, and have led whole civilizations into ruin.
On the other hand, though, words have also saved nations, healed, and enabled detailed descriptions of things that have led to goodness in worthy uses of these spoken symbols of things and ideas.

To communicate has weird effects o n people, and their brains reflect differing patterns.
One things I've noticed by experience is this, that is also borne out by studies : reading diminishes capacity for memorizing.
The effect of reading is immense even in human history, but has changed the basis of communication. We may, in this age of visual and sonar communication obliterating rapidly the need for written words, stimulate other areas of the brain, and may revert to previous plateaus of understanding.
In places like the old caravan routes of Central Asia, it is common for people to speak at least eight or nine languages. I feel so inadequate when traveling in some areas!
And yet, my own instincts kick in, and I find that I can tell somehow what is being said by people as long as I have no connection whatsoever with the language being spoken.
If I do, then my mind attempts to pick out words, and the effect is different.
And, physical readings of body language and intonation also kicks in, but there is a sixth sense in operation too.
World travelers can affirm this phenomenon.

We also well understand the languages of other species besides our own. People want to believe we can't since they'd like to complete their separation from those whom they allow to be abused or whom they abuse, and since the ego of many who'd like to pretend we're not members of the Great Ape family in the Animal Kingdom can absolve themselves of guilt toward our brethren.

Words are powerful.
Meditation can strip them of this power, and show the way to Enlightenment, which is remembering our Relationship - our being Related - to every other animal specie o n our Planet.
This leads to Bliss.
Bliss leads to Action.
Action for Good lead to Fulfillment of our Destinies.

For this New Year, let's practice Compassion for real!
Love everyone!
Go Vegan!

The Meaning and Meaninglessness of Words

Yes, philology, linguistics, ethymology and semantics, are very interesting, especially in respect to religiosity, but really as applied to everything in human communication, or lack of.

Words are both the barriers to truth and the roads to it.
Words can be

By the way, being spiritual usually has NOTHING to do with religion. Religiosity is organized excusing and corraling-in of appetites, sanctioning them and getting the religion's stamp o n it and money in the process.
This realization that most religious institutions are merely money-gathering businesses has led so many of us today o n spiritual quests, without gurus, without guidance, but, thankfully, toward a direct union with our Creator.
It's a Spiritual Renaissance!
The hypocrisies of the old religious dogmatic institutions are now exposed, and the people are feeling intuitively the right paths, toward Compassion.
Great!

122606
Twas the Day after Christmas and all throught the house, all the creatures were stirring, yes, even the mouse! With thoughts of the stockings, all empty and spent, we wondered then how would we then make our rent?

Such is the sad scenario at most American houses after the corporate holiday extravaganza they've twisted Christmas into.
Oh, well.

I'm into being eco, being vegan, being compassionate, and saving the world, so, I was thinking about o neness..

Oneness

We are all o ne.

Does everyone understand the meaning of this phrase we so often see?

Go Vegan!

Go Vegan!

The gray areas are the important o nes.
All or Nothingism thwarts understanding of anything.
Just verbal acrobatics aside, sharing even a fraction from the wealthy to the disenfranchised would be so easy.
Eating Vegan, Compassionate foods would easily feed everyone o n Earth.
Just doing that would not o nly save the world, but would Compassionize everyone too.

Just Words - More

But - look at different languages' dictionaries - not the simplistic o n-line garbage o nes - the real texts - you'll see myriads of definitions, other words, etc.
Language is quite complex.

Also, to channel every other religion and tradition into the demaning term, "New Age", is insulting to all other world cultures and ideas. That's why, when I wish to trivialize an idea, I use the word "pop".

What needs to be understood that words are never enough. Most fail at communicating real concepts. Sometimes it takes, for instance, many readings of a certain book, often in different stages of o ne's life, to absorb deeper meanings.

Experience deepens understanding, as does reading many different things, speaking with others, etc.

No, I don't think it's good that English is eclipsing other languages in the world. The richness of other languages, as opposed to our rather barbaric o ne which is so limited reminds me of how the Northern European cultures, including the islands and Scandinavia, partially due to their limited concepts leading to the famous intransigence and ignorance, and that, partially due to the piece-meal, mongrel language of the English tongue, has, and continues to speak repression, invasion, domination and egocentrism.

Yes, we all need to speak our minds - witness what we're doing now! It's a normal primate need, and watching any group of apes, whether human or others, will let you know how important language is to all of us.

To adore the English language is understandable except for late learners, who bemoan the inconsistencies in it. If you find the poets who are able to manage rhythm and grace out of it, yes, then it's adorable.

Subtleties of meanings are difficult for English speakers, though, unless implemented with other senses or plenty of vocabulary. It's a perfect medium for those who'd like to control and to advertise, since it is rather limited.

As far as religious quarrels and all-out warring are concerned, language is always a nice tool for those who wish to use it to dissect tiny points and to fan them into conflagrations, but the true background to all this is the same old xenophobia and greed and paranoiaathat fed the confinement of a certain deity to a certain tribe or group anyway.
We create Gods out of our own tribal images, identities, and too often, even if the originator had been Enlightened and universal in scope, that initial concept will have been whittled down to political size and used as weaponry by the time it has been popularized.

Diminishing ideas and herding them into usable bites always creates illusion.

Large concepts are difficult for humans to grasp, let alone to use.

Attempting to confine hugeness like the All or God is really the whole problem with mankind.

The o ne thing most wish to avoid is the elephant  in the room - Compassion.

We'd most often prefer to match words and find loopholes to allow us to participate with a perceived sanction against curtailing our appetites, and we drag our dieties down with  us.

To be Compassionate would solve all problems of the world, from the soul seeking to the feeding of all the starving children o n Earth, along with saving our resources and the lives of billions of innocent fellow beings.

Peace can o nly be achieved and maintained by Compassionate use and respect for our entire planet, all our fellow animal beings, and true love of All.

In the last sentence, I meant "use" of resources, definitely not of any beings. For beings, I meant respect of and caring for - to enact the protection for all life we humans were given the responsibiiity of by the very fact that we are the o nly animals capable of it.
We are meant to take care of the helpless, the defenseless, and the innocent beings in the world.
Until we assume our true role of Compassionate Caretakers of our Planet - God's Planet - and all beings o n it, peace will o nly be a word.

Peacefulness

Some say that the very word, "peace" contains it's own magic -it's own enlightenment and that it can enlarge the soul by just being exposed to it - the word itself!
I truly hope so!
And yet, don't you think that words like "peace", and "love", have so much baggage and promo attached that they are meaningless unless truly meditated upon with an open heart?
The trivialization of huge concepts, for instance, in America, the association with hippies and the phrases "peaceniks", and "peace creeps", and anti-war activities has rendered it useless to convey certain things to most of the populace, very unfortunately for the rest of the world.
They have tied it into wimpiness, into anti-machoness, and have neutered it to the main groups.
Also, the very idea of world harmony and alliance that had been so prevalant there and is still today in Europe and elsewhere has been pushed under by the war-mongering and the constant bombardment via the media o n TV - witness the almost constant showing of military-related films o n even the History channel.
The selling of the wars to the public is intense.
How can we make that meditation and the flowering of the concept of peace happen in the midst of this prejudice and pre-dispostion to ignore and defile it?
That's our purpose here, I believe.
In the words so many do understand, sadly, "Peace sells, but who's buying?"
I really want to answer to how to popularize this most vital of messages!
Do you have any answers o n this? Please contact me if you do!

On the Tediousness of Those Who Seek to Excuse Their Cruelty o n Spurrilous Grounds

Some seek the refuge of the willfully stupid in thinking of Vegans and of Compassion.
They attempt to hide amid the idea that, "Well, if plants feel, then...and what about dust mites and breathing?" and so o n.

All or nothingism is o ne of the chief excuses for cruelty that is, sad to say, revisited again and again even o n this site.
Naturally, if you do not see, for instance, that eating your Grandmother is worse than accidentally interfering with the life of a dust mite in your breathing, then you're being willfully obtuse.

People go through a lot to guard their own appetites and guilts, yes, and lumping everything into o ne big sentence like that is not o nly simplistic but it's even insulting to Jains, who do their best to avoid even the scenarios of which you mention.

Ethical Vegans, like myself, avoid hurting even plants, eating o nly fruit and plants that are obtained not by disrupting the life of the individual parent plant.

And yet, in order to save the lives of the o nes we absolutely know we can save, we know are completely like us in every way, like cows, pigs, sheep, goats, and other mammals, as well as birds and fish and especially, the cows' babies who are, if you use dairy products, sent to crates to be tortured as veal calves, I show people how to be Vegan and to prepare and eat all kinds of plants, including root vegetables, since they are Compassionate foods and harm no animal being.

We are part of the Animal Kingdom.
We KNOW how it feels to hurt and we know how it feels to all other animals.
To deny this is to deny your own soul and mind and heart.

We have one or two spurrilous studies suggesting that plants might have a very primitive response to stimuli. They have long since been disqualified.

And yet, even o n these slight and factless ideas, many, many ethical Vegans every day eat o nly the few foods that are actually offered by a plant 0- - a tree - to animals, and a few leaves that a plant will not miss.

Would you really rather cause pain and suffering to someone you know for sure feels the exact way you do?

If you want to be cruel - then do so. Make that choice.
You're very aware of what you're doing. So is your soul.

Just be honest about it and own it and let's think about why you choose to do so here, especially when we know that in order to eat flesh foods you are : causing millions of humans to starve due to causing arable land to be used for cattle and not for feeding people, as are countless tons of grain now fed to cattle, you are causing harm to your own body, and causing horrible suffering to billions of innocent fellow beings, plus engorging the corporate interests of the meat industry, who are allied to the oil barons, and to other damaging entities across the world, and you are separating your conscience from your spiritual self. Plus, we know that in order to thrive, we need plant foods,as our bodies were designed to ingest. Regardless, your soul knows it is as o ne with all other animals and what cruelty is. It responds to what you do whether you instruct it to ignore things or not.

I'm here reminded of the quote, "The wages of sin are death."
Meat-eating, which is always cruelty, cruelty to o ne's own body as well as to the environment and to the sweet beings who are harmed, carries it's own punishment.
The punishment to the soul is perhaps the most extreme.

I think it's the third! I've been busy with recording, so..

Authenticity and Truth

Most of the so-called enlightened people sum up the majority and their views very well, and in a way that almost stops the entire discussion in their haste to distance themselves from any truth that might disrupt their murderous assaults o n other animals by proxy.
I can't say I”m not disappointed, though.
I truly thought that among the seekers of Enlightenment, at least some admission that it's just plain cruel to torture our fellow animal beings as they do in factory farming, to steal their lies not o nly unnecessarily but in the very worst ways and to kill them so inhumanely that most do not know how they suffer, I had thought that at least someone would admit that it is wrong to do so.

Is there anyone courageous and Compassionate enough to just admit that it is wrong to kill innocent people? I, as many, use the term too often reserved by speakers of English purely for human animals for, as do most other cultures of the world, all animals.
Exluding any who feel, love, emote, and are helpless is actually very cruel and not at all spiritual.

Not o nly does the meat industry account for most of the air and water pollution, but the practice, which is entirely unnecessary especially in the West, causes many millions of humans to starve.( I have written why above, and there are many links at my page and o n my site and at the others I have cited there explaining this.)

Therefore, even those who had reserved a higher place for humans than for all the other animals, know that by consuming flesh they are killing humans too, along with all the other innocent and helpless animals.

And causing the environment to suffer.

And causing their own bodies to suffer.

The soul at least I had hoped someone would speak up for them in, for instance, the cosmic magazines so prevalent o n the stands today- about how the hypocricy of being cruel and yet proclaiming Compassion and Enlightenment and speaking of the All and the o ne and yet not practicing it in their personal choices - well, I had hoped that someone would speak up about this rather than attempting, as do most, to find loopholes and to avoid the issue, which  is, in fact, the central issue of spirituality from any and all angles, unless it has been wrestled down and made to be distorted into an excuse for cruelty, that is.

I would really like to hear from someone o n this subject, and not o n the meaning of words for a change.

Would someone just admit to me that it is wrong to kill an entirely undefended, helpless, cornered, terrified and innocent life for no reason at all ? We know it is not necessary, we know it's unhealthy for us, and we know now that to kill and eat another is also killing humans and the planet.

I believe that when someone admits the cruelty, then perhaps they might alter their practices toward Compassion. That's what I hope for.

It's not yet popular - although it is fast becoming so with young people - and it may not sell as many ads to cruelty-based industries, but especially in a pod connected with a spiritual publication, is there any place for authenticity? For the truth?

Let's leave the hypocricy to the others, and at least Vegans do, and all the others, at least, be honest with yourselves!

And you magazines arrayed o n the shelves even at health food stores! Get Compassionate or at least present some articles o n truth and o n Compassion!

Now Almost Valentine's Day!

I have a Love List for the Universe!

Here it is!

I have several connections right now that will expedite things for me - (naturally, a billion dollars is in the mix too! with it i would create eco, compassionate enterprises like vegan fast-food chains and in frozen food sections and catering, eco compassionate vegan clothing lines, and create wilderness habitats for wildlife and trees, among many other enterprises, like the eco, green communities i'm planning, other ways to promote veganism, etc.)

The number of abandoned, wandering, starving horses is increasing.

Why aren't we focusing o n the three major two problems here:

Creating laws to curtail horse breeding - making it illegal to profit from animal breeding of any kind is the o nly humane choice.

Finding a low-cost euthanasia. Why should we, the people, allow the drug companies to profit so much that this kind of suffering continues o nly because of the cost?

Creating laws and enforcing them about adopting horses and other animals - making those who abandon their animals criminals.

These new laws will fix this situation.

This horror brings to mind the primitivity of humans, and it provokes me to wonder again - why aren't we doing logical things ?

The logical, the kind, unhypocritical thing is to STOP BREEDERS of all types of animals.

There are too many horses in the world, too many irresponsible people, and there is too little funding of animal protection services in our government. The cost of euthanasia for vetts is, they say, around 300.00 and up. This is obscene.

To allow suffering to go o n because of the drug companies is something we need to remedy.

We can enact humane laws - o nes that stop breeders from profiting.

It's up to us who do not live o n the profits of corporations to make sure that humane laws are enacted. Those who stand to profit choose to vote against their hearts  - how they can live with themselves, I do not know.

The breeders of all kinds of animals are irresponsible, and dump their unwanteds o nto the system for ues taxpayers to store for awhile and then to kill - or, they sell them to cruelty industries.

We need to at least cause licensing for breeders to be Federally enacted - to cause the practice of animal breeding to be so expensive - and - to make the breeders responsible for the welfare of the animal for his or her lifetime - so that the practice will cease to be an option.

Why are people who live o n the misery of others - of sentient, loving beings - so smug about their "industries"? Why have they tried to pretend to machoism?

Because they know they're living not off their own labor, but off cruelty.

Let's see them for what they are - wussies, wastrels, and villians.

At least, let's see clearly - that's the first step.

Then, we act.
