Latino Film Festival-Elgin 2016

In the Spartan Auditorium at Elgin Community College:
Friday, April 15 @ 6 p.m. –  ¡Pa!,
This comedy from Colombia is a family-friendly film about a father who will do almost anything for his children. The main actor will be present for questions and a Gala reception afterwards. Admission $30 / $20 Seniors-Students for both events. ECC students, faculty and staff should see Student Life for free tickets to the films.

Saturday, April 16 @ 5 p.m. – Perla (Pearl)
From Chile, this is a comedy with serious moments for family viewing. The film about Perla, a dog, answers the question, “Who saved whom?” This one is also family-friendly.

Saturday, April 16 @ 7 p.m. – Ilusiones, S.A (Ilusions, Inc.)
A film from Mexico, it tells the story of a group of professionals who make peoples dreams come true.

Sunday, April 17 @ 5 p.m. – Club Frontera (Border Club)
This documentary from the U.S. and Mexico is about a soccer team with fans on both sides of the border between the two countries. Another family-friendly film, this will also interest soccer fans.

Sunday, April 17 @ 7 p.m. – Una Boda en Castañer (A Wedding in Castaner)
An adult romantic comedy, this film is from Puerto Rico. The director will be available for questions.
Selected from the offerings at the 32nd Chicago Latino Film Festival, the films are in Spanish with English subtitles.
