Welcome to Eberopolis, the online home of Mrs. Eber's fourth grade learning community!
I am so excited to be working with you and your family this year! This website is the hub for where you can find many resources related to our fourth grade class and the curriculum.
I was the F.AVE 2014-2015 Teacher of the Year. You can learn more about me here.
Our Classroom - we are in room 264 in the outer building. We are located in the outside wing nearest the multipurpose room. Our classroom is on the second floor (up the stairs or long ramp) above the Falcon's Nest.
Communication - I will be using the app Bloomz to share pictures, coordinate parent communication, create conference sign ups, and offer volunteer opportunities this year. There are two ways to sign up:
1. Join via web by going to bloomz.net and click "Join Bloomz." In the text box, type NAWJQN. Finish creating your account.
2. Join via text message by sending @NAWJQN to 1-858-BLOOMZ1 (1-858-256-6691).
In addition, we will be sending home students' red communication folders every Monday afternoon. This will contain any handouts or papers that are not available electronically. Look for these folders every Monday, and please return them the next day.
Term 3 Curriculum: How We Organize Ourselves
We will be doing our third International Baccalaureate Unit of Inquiry (UOI) during the third six weeks. Our central idea will be:
Knowledge of the past can be used to organize and make decisions about the present and future.
This is an inquiry into:
● Processes of change
● Ways to organize for decision making
● How past events influence the decision making process
Google Apps for Education
We will be using the complete suite of Google Apps for Education (GAFE) this year. These may be accessed in class and at home. Your child's log-in features the structure graduation year + first name + last name @csdecatur.net
The password is the word "student" followed by your child's lunch number.
This login will work on the following apps:
