A HISTORIC Radio Broadcast


 

Born out of the Civil Rights Movement, and from the original radio broadcast named Operation Breadbasket; Harambee, was created in 1968. It is the oldest radio broadcast in the State of Indiana.

A noted civil rights activist, he organized Indianapolis blacks in 1963 to show voting strength, marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Selma, Alabama in 1965. Andrew J Brown,  was the founder of the Indiana Black Expo and Operation Breadbasket.  Learn More
