Mexican Skillet Rice

1 lb lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup uncooked rice
2 cups beef broth
1 (16 oz) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt

    In a large skillet, over medium high heat, stirring occasionally,  cook ground beef with onion until meat is cooked.  Drain if necessary.
    Reduce heat to medium.  Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine.  Cover and cook until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.

Serves 4-6.
