Dr. Xu Li is a senior principal researcher at Huawei Technologies Canada. He received a PhD (2008) degree from Carleton University, an MSc (2005) degree from the University of Ottawa, and a BSc (1998) degree from Jilin University, China, all in computer science. Prior to joining Huawei, he worked as a research scientist (with tenure) at Inria, France. His current research interests are focused in wireless network system design, along with 100+ 3GPP 5G standard proposals . He has 100+ refereed scientific publications and is holding 50+ granted US patents. He was on the editorial boards of IEEE Communications Magazine, the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, the Wiley Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, and a number of other international archive journals.
