About Me

I obtained my Diploma in Integrative Humanistic Counselling from the Wealden Psychology Institute in Crowborough, East Sussex which has an established tradition of developing highly skilled practitioners.  This course is accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) of which I am a registered member.  I follow the BACP code of ethics, a copy of which is available on request.  I work with couples and groups and regularly attend training courses and workshops in order to continue my professional development.
As well as being in private practice I work with Cruse Bereavement Care as a volunteer counsellor, supervisor and trainer.

I will listen and enable you to find your own answers at your own pace by offering support while you explore your inner self, your choices and decisions.  My approach is Integrative (drawn from training in the Person-Centred approach, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis, among others) which enables me to provide you with support that is as unique as you are.  I have specialist experience of loss and bereavement and, as well as traditional talking therapy, I can also work creatively, where appropriate, using objects, stones, painting and sand tray.

If you would like to discuss whether counselling would be suitable for you please contact me at the telephone number below.  If you decide to proceed then our first meeting will give us the opportunity to get to know one another and to decide if we wish to work together. We will establish a business contract (regular day, session time and fee) including a confidentiality agreement at this meeting.
