"Plein Air Workshops”

Join us in a friendly collaborative environment within which to create art outdoors.

2019 Schedule

See you in April

 Workshop attendees will meet at the Stone Church and travel to a local outdoor site highlighting different aspects of landscape painting and rural New England.  All sites are easily accessible.   All media (drawing, photography, pastels, oils, watercolor, etc.) are welcome as are all skill levels.  If you want to just come, we will provide basic materials for a modest fee. Attendees will be invited to exhibit their work in October at The Stone Church” Festival of the Arts.


These sessions are free but any donations  will support the Friends of the Stone Church.*

Materials List:

·         Portable lawn chair

·         Media materials of choice (paint, palette, camera, pastel, brushes, and paint remover,      We will have a few extra easels but if you have one please bring it.

·         Sketch book

·         Bug spray, sun block, sun hat or visor

·         Suggest walking shoes not sandals

·         A way to transport your wet painting and trash

 

* Proceeds from all events will benefit the Friends of the Stone Church, a tax-exempt non-profit organization founded to stabilize and preserve the Gilbertville Trinitarian Church building, and to help develop new uses for the church that will benefit the community and contribute to the long-term preservation of this architectural treasure.





The East Quabbin Artist Alliance is an alliance of artists at all skill levels.
