Be East and PBIS

At East High School we have adopted the PBIS (Positive Behaviors Interventions and Supports) program.
This program, which we at East call Be EAST, is aimed at providing positive behavioral supports for our students.
The Be EAST program teaches our students to be Engaged, Accountable, Safe and Thoughtful.
Our mission for Be East is: Mission Statement
  • The purpose of Be East is to transform East's culture and climate by teaching expected behaviors, celebrating positive attitudes and actions, and supporting students in obtaining skills for success.

For each area of our building, we have developed a set of Be EAST student expectations.
You can find out more about these expectations and how they support being Engaged, Accountable, Safe and Thoughtful here.

At East we work to acknowledge our students in a variety of ways for meeting expectations and being EAST.
The most common form of acknowledgement is the Be EAST card.
Be EAST cards are given to students by staff members for exhibiting our EAST expectations.
