...with the local community as a volunteer
Creating a presence in our communities "Smith clubs are vital to fostering alumnae connections and increase the visibility of Smith College around the world. Based on pride and mutual connections, clubs run on the energy and commitment of alumnae volunteers."
One of many ways to fulfill our role as ambassadors of Smith College is to participate and be seen in our local community.

Smith Clubs in the Bay Area have a Yahoo email group to facilitate communication between alumnae. Do you need a job, place to live or information about an event? Do you have a job or rental to offer alumnae? Email the entire Bay Area Smith Alumnae community instantly using this great tool. If you would like to join the group, please email Sherrill to have an invitation sent to you. Or click http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bayareasmithclubs/join to sign up yourself.
...with future students
Sidnie Davis '08 (email@example.com) and Noelle Bittner '09 (firstname.lastname@example.org) are our Alumnae Admissions Coordinators.
If you are interested in helping out with interviewing prospective students, representing Smith at college fairs, or serving as a contact for a high school, please email Sidnie. Northampton is a long way away, so having a local face to put on the college is an important asset in recruiting good candidates. Young alumnae are especially useful, since they can provide insights into the current Smith experience.
See the annual report archive for an account of past recruiting efforts and success!
