         Mine Closure and Reclamation

Mine sites pose two types of hazards: Physical like mine shafts and vertical entries and environmental like toxins

drained into water bodies while removing mine tailings from a site.  At the end of their lifecycle mine sites are disposed

off physical and environmental hazards, the land is reclaimed and vegetation is introduced again.  This process allows

the area to integrate with the surrounding environment. The Engineering and Environmental specialists from Earth

Resources have the knowledge to assess the mine site and monitor the design and development of all aspects of

mine remediation projects with due application of local requirements.  Implementation of closure plans begins with site

rehabilitation studies, testing and monitoring that translate plans into construction drawings and specifications.

Implementation then continues through procurement and construction. These operations must be carried out in strict
compliance with current environmental standards and in cooperation with local communities.
