About Us

Early Childhood Exchange

Early Childhood Exchange is an online environment developed to support East Texas families, educators, and service providers of young children.  The goal is to provide a one stop resource to share information about all aspects related to the well being of our youngest community members.  The Exchange is sponsored by the Center for Early Childhood Services.

Center for Early Childhood Services

The Center for Early Childhood Services is an outreach oriented component of the Early Childhood Research Center at Stephen F. Austin State University.  Our goals include:  collaboration with community partners to consolidate efforts to reach families, and the development and dissemination of child and family support information to the local community and throughout rural East Texas.

Early Childhood Research Center

Located on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University, the ECRC houses the nationally accredited Early Childhood Laboratory, the University charter school, the Department of Elementary Education, and the Center for Early Childhood Services.  Aside from preparing outstanding educators entering the field, the center will focus on conducting scientifically based research on improved instruction and support for children and families.

The mission of the ECRC is to join students and faculty with community professionals to integrate teaching, research, and service designed to improve the quality of life for children and families within rural East Texas.
