Get ready for something different from 45-year-old film maestro Eric Khoo. Having made his name with dramas like Mee Pok Man12 StoreysBe with Me, his latest work is a Japanese animation that pays homage to the life and works of Yoshihiro Tatsumi, the godfather of alt-anime - Time Out Singapore.

Singaporean auteur Eric Khoo is diving into the world of animation in a most unusual way - Twitch Film.

TATSUMI celebrates the life of Japanese comic artist, Yoshihiro Tatsumi. Growing up as a young boy in occupied Japan, his family was poor - The Match Factory

The film which is in advanced post production and is set to be completed by the Spring, is a strong contender for a slot at the Cannes festival in May. Not only is Khoo Singapore's only director to date to have had a film in Cannes competition (My Magicin 2008), Tatsumi may serve as a gentle lesson in the diversity of Japanese animation for the uninitiated - Filmbiz Asia.

Tatsumiest une belle réussite...
