One of the bigger cross country courses, it sits in the South West corner of Stanmer Park, near the
University of Sussex and the Brighton Amex stadium (to the South). It is quite a hilly course and coupled with the extended
distance makes for a daunting challenge.

The weather was ok, dry with a light northerly wind and 4-5 degrees. The ground was firm.

Under 13 Girls: We had 4 girls competing in a field of 218. Courtney Marshall led our runners, finishing in 74th, then
Roisin Lynch in 157th, Millie Atherton in 183rd and Frankie Vale in 218th (in her 2nd XC), giving us 26th in the team positions

Under 13 Boys: We had our best result of the day with Aaron Spink finishing in 14th. Also in our team were
Osee Senga in 106th, George Kelly in 108th, Reece Farren in 127th in a field of 192. The team came 15th out of 26.

Under 15 Girls: We were better represented in this race with 7 out of 198 competitors. Olivia Will led our team with 133rd,
followed by Anna Maude in 141st, Rosie Bell in 143rd, Besirat Tesfu in 155th, Joanna Vale in 190th,
Ella Kotecha in 193rd and Abigail Brown in 196th. We came 21st in the team places.

Under 15 Boys: We had 4 runners in this race. Mukhtar Farah led the way in 42nd, Sam McGonigle followed in 59th,
Conor McCarthy in 124th, and Bradley Pinder in 190th, giving us 18th team place.

Under 17 Women: We had only 2 runners in a fairly small field of 100. Katrina Will
was first in, in 81st place, with Josie Elliott in 94th.

Under 17 Men: Sam Shindler-Glass put in a fine performance to finish 23rd out of 156,
followed closely by Bhavesh Soneji in 30th, Malik Ouzia in 98th and Duncan Pinder
in 106th.

Under 20 Women: We had just 1 lady competing, Rachel Walsh in 54th, so thanks to
Rachel for being the team.

Under 20 Men: We were well represented in this race. Ben Waterman after leading at the start
finished in 68th, closely followed (2 secs later) by Will Pinder in 69th, Sebastien Zajaczkowski
in 76th (pictured left) and Mark Cameron in 85th. We came 8th in the team places.

Senior Women: We had 5 runners in a field of about 350 runners. Alison Hopkins was our first
finisher in 54th, followed by Fiona Kennedy in 70th. Patricia Thomas came in 109th even though
she claims to have stopped briefly. Gillian Morgan followed in 152nd and Mary Walsh in 258th
