Welcome!

I am an associate professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware. My research examines disparities in the U.S. criminal and juvenile justice systems. My work focuses on estimating the size and sources of disparity in justice processing as well as the impacts of justice reforms.

Previously, I served as a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Criminology and Resident Fellow/Lecturer at the Fels Institute of Government. I received a joint Ph.D. in Political Science and Criminology from Penn and a B.A. in Political Science from Swarthmore College.
