      Also known as Japanese Tree Lilac

       Native to Japan

  • Features:  

       Grows to 25' height and 20' width

        Rounded crown

        Fragrant creamy, white flowers in spring, blooms later than Common Lilac

        Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies

        Foliage remains green in autumn

        Attractive reddish-brown bark provides winter interest

        Better resistance to common lilac diseases

  • Culture:

        Full sun 

        Average, moist, well-drained soil

        Moderate drought and high salt tolerance
