We created the “overachieved” charts in Excel to represent percentages over 100% in a funny way.

Technically the base of the charts is a radar chart, and the only trick is that an additional data series is needed to fill in the gap between the first and last values of the main data series.
We added a parameter called "Distance" to make possible setting the distance between the spiral curves.
