Join me for a walking tour of Brooklyn's  Grand Army Plaza and Prospect Park.   We use details from that  area to talk about Brooklyn as a Caribbean outpost for 350 years.   Since the Dutch made war against  the  Lenni Lenapes in 1643, there have been many "Battles of Brooklyn."  We try to cover a few of them  in about one hour.   Monuments, buildings, landscapes, presences, and absences reveal the many fits, starts, and stalls of Brooklyn's  civic culture and economy that continue to shape the city.                                                                                                                                                                     - DYLAN
