If you are not already aware all participants will be allowed to submit a paper that will be included in the DXC section of the DX proceedings. Of course this is optional and you can choose not to submit a paper. However I would strongly recommend that you take advantage of this opportunity to get another publication on your resume. You can write about the technical approach of your algorithm or about specific problems you faced in trying to solve this problem and what you did to overcome them or any thoughts related to DXC and your algorithm. You can see some examples in the DXC sections from last 2 years (https://www.phmsociety.org/events/workshop/dx/10/proceedings and http://photon.isy.liu.se/dx09/papers/proceedings-dx09.pdf )
The procedure would involve submission of a first version which will be quickly reviewed by the DXC organizing committee. Please note that goal is not an in depth technical review but to make sure there are no major issues with the paper in terms of formatting or typos or factual errors etc. Paper format and size are as per DX stipulations (Look at the bottom of this link http://dx11.informatik.tu-muenchen.de/?page_id=2). However the submission process would be an email to Scott Poll (cced on this email) with the paper as an attachment. The following is the planned schedule for the paper submission process
Sep 12 (Monday) – Initial version of papers due Sep 16 (Friday) – Reviews from DXC program committee due Sep 21 (Wednesday) – Final Camera Ready versions of papers due Sep 23 (Friday) – Ship the DXC proceedings to the DX organizers
