Currently based in the Department of Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka. Until Dec. 2017, we were based in the School of Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi (HP), India.

Our research aims at numerically investigating the physics of fluid flow at micro, meso and macro scales. The research interests span multiphysics phenomena and coupled to fluid physics, e.g. interactions of fluids and particle suspension, applied electrical field and/or magnetic field, chemical reactions and combustible flow modelling, radiative and neutron transport. Further, our research aims to investigate compressible flows, non-Newtonian flows, thermal flows, and multiphase flows (e.g. fluid-solid flows, immiscible liquids, liquid-gas flows, particle laden flows).

Our prime numerical methodology tool is the lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) which is a kinetic theory based method derived from a discrete Boltzmann equation. We also research on the developments and applications of other numerical and particle based methods and our current research interests may be accessed here.

We are continuously looking for exceptional researchers to help us move forward in our research field.
