This program of study is designed to support the elementary and middle school CORE KNOWLEDGE curriculum.
Students follow a sequenced course of study at a deeper level of understanding coupled with project-based learning. Knowledge will be applied in new ways and in unfamiliar situations which will prepare students for the 21st century.
Information and Communication Skills: Information and media literacy; visual literacy, as well as communications and technology literacy; and oral, written and multimedia communication.
Thinking and Problem-solving Skills: These skills use spreadsheets and decision support and design tools to develop critical thinking, systems thinking, problem-solving, creativity and innovation.
Personal and Workspace Productivity Skills: These include interpersonal and collaboration skills, the ability to self direct, adaptability, ethical behavior, social and personal accountability, leadership, and project planning and development.
