As of Wednesday March 18th the Nordic Center is closed for the season as we have more mud than snow on our trails. See you all next year.
As of Monday February 23rd, Mother Nature has dumped a couple of feet of new snow on our trails, so we are delighted to be able to open back up to the public.We look forward to seeing you soon.
Unfortunately we have had to close the Nordic Center trails due to lack of snow. If we get a big storm we will try to re-open, but it will take at least a foot of snow, a few inches will not be enough. We have more mud and rocks than we do snow right now.
This coming Sunday, February 8th, we will be holding a skate ski clinic at 1pm. There will be classes for skiers of all ability levels. Equipment rentals are available at the Nordic Center for $25. The cost of the clinic is $25 for Nordic season pass holders or $30 for other skiers. For more information or to sign up for the clinic please call 970 385 2114.
This coming Saturday, February 7th, we will be hosting a Coke race. There will be a 10km freestyle ski race for adults and shorter distances for juniors, and there will be a 10km fat bike race. Registration is at 9am at the Nordic Center, the ski races start at 10am and the bike race starts at 11am. The cost of the race is $15 for adults or $8 for juniors.

There will be a 30km and a 15km race for adults with shorter distances for juniors. Registration is at 9am at the Nordic Center and the races start at 10am. The cost of the race is $25 for adults and $15 for juniors. Come dressed in your favorite Retro ski outfits!!
Please be aware that this weekend, January 17th and 18th, we are hosting a Junior National Qualifier at the Nordic center. Some of our Nordic trails will be CLOSED to the public during the races. There will be no skiing allowed after 4pm on Friday 16th or Saturday 17th to allow our groomers time to prepare the race course. Thank you.
With the second Colorado Cup/Jr. National Qualifier coming up January 17-18, our first Coke Race of the season served as the perfect test event. Racers were able to test out the courses and get a good feel as to how they flow. In addition to the ski races the fat bike crew embarked on a quick 10km race which included two new sections of single track.
