Dublem Gundogs Press Release:
Dublem Gundogs is a hunting kennel operated by Bud Clouse in Plattsmouth
Nebraska. Bud is the exclusive trainer and handles all breeds of upland and
waterfowl dogs. In addition, he has a highly selective breeding program
focused UK varieties of dogs including Springer Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels and
Labrador Retrievers.

Dublem Gundogs follows a few basic philosophies for breeding/training dogs.

- Start with the highest quality genetics for natural ability

- Start early as young well bred dogs are highly trainable.

- Use highly positive methods to create keen hunters with desire.

- Use distractions and maintain calmness from a young age

- Use game and situations to imprint early.

As a long standing advocate for spaniels and a relatively new proponent for the
British Labradors, Bud is knowledgeable of the UK breeds. Bud’s familiarity
with these breeds has come partially from observation and participation of
shoots and field trials within the UK. His early experience with spaniels was
gained as an active member of many hunting spaniel training clubs and an
avid hunter while serving with the U.S. Air Force in Nebraska, the Dakotas
and Colorado. He is an AKC spaniel judge, field trial gun and has campaigned
spaniels in both amateur and open levels of competition. The spaniels he
breeds are based on the foundation of decades of highly selective breeding
by the best spaniel enthusiasts in the world and have significant influence of
breeders from Wales.

Bud is a founder and president of the British Labrador Retriever Club of
Nebraska and has been a force in establishing a following of enthusiasts in
Omaha. He has imported several top British Labradors from Scotland and
Ireland and is now breeding elite quality Labradors for Nebraskans. In addition,
he brings the UK philosophy of kind and sophisticated training to others through
seminars and mentoring of both novice trainers and breeders. The adult dogs
he is importing are experienced and have been used for grouse hunts on the
Moors of Scotland and various estate pheasant shoots throughout the UK.
Dublem Gundogs British Labradors and Spaniels have been used for shoots at
private clubs within the US and successful in competition in both the US and
UK.
