Comments for the DVD
''Your DVD is incredibly well filmed, and you are a terrific player, and I think the product is very well done''
Joe Bergamini - Senior drum editor Hudson Music.
"This is a well thought out and practical DVD. It contains useful, useable ideas that are explained clearly and demonstrated musically on the drum kit.''
Erik Stams - Head of drums Tech Music Schools.
''Robert Brian's new video, "technique and musicality" is a little gem. The specific concepts Robert deals with (warm ups, use of dynamics, phrase development, and lots more..) are all demonstrated very clearly with plenty of practical examples. There are even some great tips on what to do in studio situations which could help you get the job. This is an excellent DVD by a top drummer. Buy it!''
Alain Maurel - Head of drums at Planet Drum, London.
''Rob has been a friend and mentor to me for sometime now. Check out this wicked new DVD in your own home, and you too can up your game as i have with Robs fantastic exercise's and grooves.
This DVD unlike many others gets you excited about your playing as Rob explains patterns clearly and in a friendly way''
Justin / Elastica
''Rob Brian’s Technique and Musicality DVD is a must have and I would very much recommend it to all drummers. I was most intrigued by the Drum Solo Finale chapter as this is a very difficult skill to master. In this chapter Rob uses a mixture of some of the best techniques that he has explained throughout the DVD and gives a clear demonstration of how to use these ideas musically.
Overall I feel the DVD is a superb way of showing you how to adapt techniques that are usually very rudimentary and how you can use them in other settings such as your everyday playing''
Hannah Butler - BIMM Brighton
'Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know that I have been practicing your DVD practice warm up and am gradually building up speed. Anyway, I didn't know what the problem was but by practicing your warm up, it has built strength in my left hand slightly. Rather than playing the second, forth and sixth beat of the six slightly softer than the first, third and sixth, a bit like an inverted flam, (hadn't realised that I was doing this), they are now even. As a result, it is far easier to play the sixes but also single sticking is general much smoother too. COOL!
Thought I'd let you know because it might be a solution to a problem others didn't know they had!'
Darren Doyle - UK Drummer.
