Mood Concerns

Are you feeling sad or "blue" for weeks, months, and years at a time, staying in bed for hous on end?  Are you losing or gaining weight?  Are you withdrawing from friends and family? You may be suffering from depression.  My perspective is that mood occurs on a continuum, ranging from a positive mood to a maladaptive mood.  All people occasionally become sad, but maladaptive mood occurs when the sadness, irritability, or burst in energy, impacts one's day-to-day life (school, work, relationships).  Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy has been empirically supported  to treat Mood Disorders.  Contact me to further explore options to cope with depression and other mood concerns.
